Baaaaaarf. My stomach is killing me. I guess that makes sense, because all the social stuff this weekend had me eating and drinking like a freaking pig, but still, blaaaahhh. I think that in the span of two weeks, I've filled my excess quota for the next year or so. Drinking 'til I puke two weeks ago, and then eating this weekend until I almost *wish* I'd just puke it up because my stomach hurts so bad? No damned good. I don't even want to look at another pizza or french fry or beer for at least a month.
Well, okay, maybe the beer can stay. XD
Anyhoo! The weekend was hellafun. As you probably noticed from my post on Friday, I was in a bad, bad mood, so I decided to take the night off from everything, and I mean *everything*. I skipped wushu practice, ate Taco Bell food and chocolate muffins from the bakery, watched Stargate, and played WoW (on Winkletoes, because I hope to power her through the 40s ASAP), and it was beautiful. And I slept for 9 hours afterwards! I really got a chance to unwind and relax, and lord knows I needed to.
Saturday was pretty excellent. I skipped the raid and went to an aerobic kickboxing class, which was interesting, and then I got my hair cut, hit up the vintage store, and spent part of the afternoon doing some mod-style photos, for funand profit.
A few that I liked: (click the thumbnails, some are full-length)

I must confess that I really like working in black-and-white. I did these in color and liked them all right, but when I converted several of them to black-and-white and tweaked the contrast, it was love. If I had better lighting equipment and a bigger, cleaner space, maybe I'd make other people model for me. ;p Something to put on the ol' wish list, I guess. Besides, I'm a cheap bastard and don't want to pay for a model of any kind, so I guess I'll keep doing it this way, and everyone will assume that I'm a terrible narcissist. :D
Anyhoo, the group was done with ZG by the time I finished taking pictures, and
rantar was flying off to Boston the next morning, so we all did dinner at Red Robin, where I stuffed myself silly. (that's a recurring theme this weekend, people) After that, I got on WoW until it was time for karaoke! J was dragging his butt, so we got there late, and I only got to do one of the songs I picked--it wasn't the one I was the most pumped about doing, either, sigh--but
nick2310 hammed it up like a champ, and
divadrummer rocked it hard. Soooo fun! We hit up Shari's afterwards, where I ate *again*, because I'm an idiot. I swear, the Red Devil must be coming to me soon, because I wanted to eat everything on the menu. We were out later than I expected to be--well past 2am--but it was definitely a good night.
I overslept a little on Sunday and was late for the Serenity RPG, but once I got there, it was fun! My character desperately needs some background info, but it was fun playing a redneck-y thuggish type, and I got a plot point for a sassy one-liner. Hee! :D It's going to be a fun campaign, judging from the various people involved. Woohoo! I played more WoW and got Winkletoes to 44, and then it was off to
tlaw_dalbron's surprise birthday party. It was pretty low-key--probably because we were late again--but there was lots of pizza and cake, and silly conversation. So, yeah, a very busy but ultimately A+ weekend.
I'm kind of dreading this week, because Collegiates is almost upon us, which means practice is going to be tough, and my Friday night and entire Saturday is being eaten by the tournament, the pre-tourney banquet, and the after-party. Don't get me wrong, it'll be fun, but it'll also probably be a stressful time. Preparing to compete in a tournament almost seems less stressful than putting on a tournament.
That's all!
