So, one down side about the new place: I'll actually have a commute that's longer than 10 minutes, now. :p Also, all the road construction on I-105 has made traffic around Coburg a total beasto. How early will I have to wake up?! Jeezy.

The middle school kid I was mentoring decided, a couple of weeks before school ended, that she wanted to read Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. We're supposed to read the book along with our respective students, so we can look for tough words, make sure they're comprehending what they read, and so forth, so I got a few chapters into it. Thanks to the six hours I recently spent sitting outside babysitting my moving sale, I plowed through the entire thing on my own, even though the school year (and thusly, the mentoring) was over.

I mainly mention it because, A) I haven't actually been able to finish a book in quite a while, and B) it was a fluffy but fun read, if you're looking for such a thing. It kind of makes me want to see the movie version, even, if only because I can totally see Amber Tamblyn pulling off the Tibby role perfectly.

The Michael Jackson verdict? I am not even remotely surprised, because we all know that Rich + Famous + Crazy = Innocent. ;p Hooray for the justice system!

I really, really want to go to the Taiji school today, because I haven't done anything remotely wushu-esque in the past 2 weeks, except for a few runs of 10-step in my living room. I don't know if I'll have time, though, but I may try, because I totally have wushu on the brain. Blargh!

Aww, I feel bad for Michael Jackson. Even if he is guilty(which I am totally not convinced of), who in their right mind would let their son sleep in the same bed with him? Who in their right mind would let their son sleep in the same bed with any grown man? To me, it's kind of like you know this guy who may or may not have murdered someone. You're pretty sure he didn't, but not 100% sure. And he calls you up and says, "Hey, why don't you come over... I'd like to show you my knife collection." And you say, "Sounds great!"
