I got a *really* early start today. On a Monday! Apparently, wonders will never cease. :) I'm kind of regretting it, though, because my eyeballs feel ready to fall out of my head.
I am sad because I missed wushu on Friday. It's not my fault, though--all I wanted to do was two simple things: put down the deposit for the new apartment, and go to the friggin' store before wushu practice. I even generated a list of food ahead of time, divided up by type, so I could grab stuff quick and get the hell out of Dodge. However, somebody had apparently cast Slow on the entire city of Eugene, because IT TOOK FOR-FREAKIN'-EVER!!
Seriously, putting down the deposit was slow because the only staffperson available was new and had no clue what she was doing. Going through the drive-thru for dinner was ultra-slow, and I had to pull around and park in the regular lot while they made my salad. Everyone was driving slow, everyone was ambling through the store at a snail's pace, blocking my path and enhancing my rage! Yes, I realize that it was a Friday afternoon and people are winding down, but rrrrgggh!
Anyway, the weekend was pretty slammy. I went and lifted on Saturday, which was really tough, but I got through. (I'm still sore) I went for a nice bike ride back to the store after that, because even with my list, I still forgot a couple of small things. I had Indian food with the posse later that evening, and I played WoW intermittently for a lot of the weekend. I've been feeling pretty good, as of late. I'm getting some good solo time, and I'm also getting good friend-o time; usually it's one or the other, but not both.
I cleaned house like crazy yesterday, and I *really* went to town on the front room. Anyone familiar with my place who sees it now may very well die of shock, because the piles of crap are now nicely stored, and it actually looks livable! Better late than never, right?
WoW dorking, because I am obsessed:
--I got Fiz to 37, and she is stylie in a pinkish cape and shirt, and various pieces of Nightscape armor. My guildies are the bestest! :D I think I'm catching up in levels because I'm only now getting obsessed with WoW. (always late to the party, sigh) She has close to 60g for the Big Mechanical Chicken Fund, too. :)
--Winkletoes is lv. 18, also with a very coordinated getup in reds and blacks, although I'm starting to notice her squishiness. Being a cloth-wearer is tough, y'all. Also, I feel a little guilty whenever I summon the Voidwalker instead of the Imp. The Imp is a cool little guy, and sometimes he'd high-five Winkletoes after a tough fight, because they are BEST FRIENDS. <3
--The newest member of the Color-coordinated Gnome Army is Bobblethumb, who is lv. 11, very blue, and full of rage. :D Oh, and blacksmithing eats up resources so bad. I could mine until I'm blue in the face and not have enough ore for this one smithing-related quest I'm hoping to do. Jeezy.
And in closing, the winner of Survivor 10 is way satisfying. Probably the most deserving of any I can think of! I could have done without all the empty moralizing and the Ian hate-fest, because man, who has *ever* made it to Final 4 without telling at least one half-truth? Still, what a great season.
That's all for now.
