Lessons learned in the past 24 hours
Apr. 28th, 2005 02:21 pm--When you are baking, even if it's weird, experimental baking, don't forget to GREASE THE EFFING PAN. Even if the non-stick spray *does* have a bizarre faux-butter stink to it.
--A big juicy steak goes a long way to making you feel spoiled.
--Really Bad Shit can happen when you least expect it, even on what should be the happiest of days.
--Sometimes, you make choices that seem completely minor and arbitrary, only to realize later that they were *exactly* the right choices to make, in light of what came after them.
--It's something of a comfort to know that if you had to go it alone for a while, you could.
--If it's hard to say no to a gorgeous chocolate cake, it's even harder to do so when it's sitting in front of you, in honor of your birthday.
--Eyeliner is actually quite good for masking extra puffiness in the eyes. Might turn out a bit vampy, yes, but it'll do the job.
So, yeah, lots going on, much of it being not good at all. Some of that may be discussed later, in other venues. I have probably 80000 things to cram in between now and tomorrow afternoon. The birthday stupf is nice, though.
I'm not sure if I'll be up to organizing a birthday gathering this weekend, but if anything happens, I'll keep y'all posted. I might just put it off for a week or two.
Keep your respective chins up, my dears.
EDIT: I just re-read this and noticed that it totally sounds like I just got dumped or something. LMAO! Anyway, rest assured that the aforementioned Badness is nothing of that sort. :)

Date: 2005-04-28 11:19 pm (UTC)BTW, I've been meaning to mention that I see you a couple times a week and just don't get the chance to say hi. It's when you're at Wushu and I'm headed to fence.
