I stole this link from Monsieur Wheaton's blog, but it's too funny not to repost: Overheard in New York.

I have to wonder if there is actually a higher concentration of bizarre people in NYC, or if it's just because there are *more* people in NYC than in, say, Eugene. Because, I hear some pretty amusing/apalling pearls of nutcaseness roll out of people's mouths here in Eugene, but it doesn't happen anywhere near often enough to merit a daily blog. But, Eugene has somewhere in the neighborhood of ~100k people, whereas NYC has, what, 80 times that?

Bad moving news: I am being moved out of my quiet corner in the shared office to a corner in a yet-to-be-determined space, that will most likely not be quiet. Which, I guess isn't all that bad, because background noise is ultimately rather nice for me, but just the annoyance of having to move all my crap *again* is enough to make this bad.

Good moving news: I will soon be free from the Parking Spot of 10-Point Turns and Excessive Steering Wheel Spinning and Huge Potential for Cosmetic Damage! I'll have to walk a bit farther from my new spot to the actual office, but I DON'T CARE, because I will be able to get in and out of my parking space without having a brain aneurysm!

Today's Flaming Ball of Hate goes to: The Gap, or alternately, Sarah Jessica Parker. That commercial seems to embody exactly what I *don't* enjoy about being a girl! And I kind of hated SJP to begin with, especially in light of her terrifyingly bad fashion choices. And I *definitely* hated The Crap long before the advent of this lastest advertising travesty. Evil comes together in horrifying forms. HAAAAATE.

Today's Sparkling Ball of Happiness goes to: Alphonse!! :D Yes, he's now fully-assembled and alive, as of 11:30-ish last night. SO HAPPY.

Anyway, I'm off to the coast in less than two hours! But I have to go back to a meeting now. See y'all on Sunday!
