too lazy for a quote
Mar. 15th, 2005 03:38 pmQuasi-exciting news: I might be on the ol' tee-vee this evening! KMTR came by to film a segment on the wushu team last week, and it's supposed to air this evening. They only actually interviewed the coach and one other person, neither of whom are me, but they might show me hopping around doing stuff in the background or whatever. (this was also pre-haircut, so if'n you actually feel compelled to tune in, look for my glasses) Whee! We're all famous and crap!
My nose is cold. The A/C keeps blowing directly onto me from above, and I can't turn it off without affecting a bunch of other areas in the building. Gah!
Did my reading mentoring thing earlier today--we got a late start because I was a couple of minutes late, and then she didn't come to the room right away. The big challenge of the moment is picking out a book for her to read. I'm hoping to make it something that's fun and interesting for her, because she probably already has enough "boring" stuff to read for school. If she doesn't now, she will later, lord knows. Trouble is, she doesn't seem to have any idea of what she wants to read, and she's not too forthcoming with her opinion on the things I've been suggesting, so far. I guess it might take some prodding and poking, but hopefully we'll figure out something that she can actually enjoy.
I feel very old today, for some reason. Old, and slow, and lethargic. Maybe I just need more caffeine?
Today = New Glasses, FINALLY. Or an attempt at getting them, at least. James needs them, too, and I think his prescription is even older than mine. Time to pick out some hot frames!
After that, it's lifting time, and then a nice, long sleep. Hells yeah.
EDIT: For people who are lame like me and have been watching Survivor the past couple of weeks:

You have to admit, there's something of a resemblance, there. ::snicker::
