EDIT: Thaaaaank you guys, for your compliments about the new 'do! Really, I just enjoy being in pictures, so any excuse for a bit of camwhoring is up my alley. :) But it's nice to hear it anyway!

Today is PI DAY! :D It's too late for some of you, but if not, take a moment and have some pie at 1:59 this afternoon, perhaps? :) I may have to find myself a slice on my way back from the post office...

Yesterday taught me this: PMS + allergies + mild hangover + skipping breakfast = BAAAAAD.

Anyway, aside from the feeling of general physical blah-ness, yesterday was a little bit of all right. [livejournal.com profile] junsiew and I had some Thai food and did a little bit of shopping. I picked up a hugely marked-down bubble tea "kit" at Sunrise, which included nice supplies of black *and* green tea tapioca pearls, and a cute martini shaker!! I've been meaning to pick up a martini shaker for months, but I never remember it when I'm actually at a retail store. (which, admittedly, isn't often) I didn't remember to put it on my Christmas list, either. So, hooray for frothy bubble tea, and the occasional well-mixed drink!

After that, we hit Ben Franklin, which apparently has expanded their yarn selection. By a LOT. This includes a holy stackload of Bernat Soft Boucle--a.k.a. probably my current favorite yarn in terms of softness and visual appeal--in a bunch of new colors I hadn't seen before! They also had some really good markdowns on the Lamb's Pride wool yarn, so although I didn't buy any, it got me thinking about making something felted. I'm concerned about the shrinkage that comes with felting, though, because I'm not so great with the whole sizing thing when I knit.

Saturday was pretty good. After the extra practice, the wushu crew went to eat at Costco, of all places. I was eventually talked into getting one of their ice cream bars, and good GOD, they're huge. As in, heavy enough to make your hand tired from holding it. And for only $1.50! Granted, that's more ice cream than I'll ever need in one sitting, but if'n you're hungry, it's an impressive deal.

After getting back, I had dinner at Marie Callender's and geeked out about WoW with the posse. Post-dinner, I rolled on over to a goodbye party with the wushu crew, b/c one of the guys is fleeing to Japan for a year, and the other is graduating. Had a few drinks, a few laughs, but things were wrapped up by about 12:30, because these pesky kids have finals to study for. So, they went and pulled all-nighters and such, while I went home, watched TV, and passed out on the couch. Being a non-student certainly has its moments. :)

Anyway, this week is looking busy. Lots of training, and I also have to do a few errands. Oh, and definitely get some new glasses, since I somehow bent the bejeezus out of my frames on Saturday afternoon. As if they weren't old and busted enough already. ;p
