First off: HAPPY BIRTHDAY [livejournal.com profile] whiteraevyn!! :D My God, we're getting old. :)

[livejournal.com profile] safox mentioned Charley's Aunt in her most recent post, and I just had to giggle a little, because it reminded me of Jason Macaya, and of all the times we cracked those "where the nuts come from!" jokes after the AHS production of Charley's Aunt. Hee :)

Speaking of AHS: I am totally thrown off by the school scenes in Joan of Arcadia, because of all the "AHS such-and-such" signs plastered onto the school walls. I know it stands for Arcadia instead of Aloha, but jeez, they even use blue and gold on the show for school paraphernalia. It's a little weird, y'all.

Reading my Friends Page often reminds me of the one aspect of college that I miss--staying up insanely late during the week. It seems like such a silly thing, but there is something about the nighttime hours that I really enjoy. *Especially* when I'm in one of my hermit-y moods where I don't feel like dealing with people. There's no better time to enjoy your own company than during the time period when everyone else in town sleeps.

Of course, over and over again it gets rather old, as I learned from my brief stint at UPS--when you need to see people or do things during business hours, the night life suddenly becomes a massive pain in the butt. But, in measured doses, I find that I really like the nighttime. In reality, it's probably just about having the choice to be awake during daylight or stay up late at night. Most jobs will only give you daytime or nighttime, but not the freedom to choose what you want to do on a day-to-day basis.

Of course, this sentiment is further bolstered by the fact that I have waaaaayyy too much to do before I leave on Friday morning.

Today, I have a stop at the pharmacy, plus lifting, and extra wushu practice. Tommorrow, at least one meeting, maybe two. I'll be working late on Wednesday, in all likelihood, in an attempt to make up for being gone Friday. Oh, and more wushu practice, of course. On one of these two days, I have to do a holy crapload of laundry. It might even take both evenings to get it all done.

Thursday, I have a wushu demo in the evening, for another event at OSU. More dollars for the club. and when I get back from that, I'll be spending the rest of the evening packing my bags.

AND, to top that off, I have a scary appointment with the gynecologist in the afternoon. Okay, so it's not *that* scary, it's just kind of weird and uncomfortable. The gynecologist I went to at the Uni was actually very sweet and very competent--she's probably the only instance where I actually felt like I was receiving competent service from a Uni doctor. Unfortunately, now there will be a new person poking around in my "no-no place," which always kind of creeps me out. I'm sure I'm not the only girl in the world with hangups about this, but yeesh, it's awful.

Anyway, build's done, so, tally ho!

Hey! I've got a random question for ya - do you know what time you guys are going to be demo-ing at OSU on Thursday? My brother really wanted to come watch but he didn't want to stay for the entire VSA night. :)

And goooooood luck at Collegiates! I know you'll kick major butt at nanquan! :D

It's funny you mention Charlies Aunt! David was on the plane on the way home at Christmas break talking to the guy next to him. He asked if David was flying home to family. David said yes, his wife grew up in Beaverton. The guy said so did he, went to Aloha. David said so did my wife. It was Jason! Small world no?

Where the nuts come from

Isn't it funny how long that play has been showing? After a century, it's still great.

Check out the lj comments on that post to see my obsession with one of the actors, photos included. Stalking is fun. ;-;

I know that we're leaving for the demo at 4p, but I have no idea what part of the show we're in! We went pretty close to the beginning for OSU China Night, but I doubt that has much bearing on what the VSA will do with us. He'll just have to wait it out, I guess :)

Thaaaaaank you! :D UC Davis posted an early competitor list today, and there's at least one other girl signed up for Intermediate Nanquan, so I guess I don't have to worry about being combined with the Advanced division. Yaaaaayyyy!
