Yet another drive-by posting
Dec. 27th, 2004 10:11 pmIf'n you actually noticed that I was gone, I'm now back! The drive home was pretty smooth sailing up until Redding, but after that it was *horrible*. Rain, windy roads, and highway construction made the last 300 miles or so pretty miserable. Also, everyone apparently took their Jackass Pill this morning, because *everyone* out there was driving like a complete jerk. JESUS. x_x
I'm currently being assailed on both sides from my usual sensation of being satisfied, and feeling vaguely like crying. I had a nice visit, but it was far too short. And, even when my family time *isn't* so short, I still tend to be left with the feeling that I've let too many people whom I like and care about slip further off of the radar. I definitely need to pull more time out of my ass so I can see people, but I'm not quite sure how to go about doing that. I need to think on it some more, I suppose.
Anyway, everything's cool now, and there's a bunch of stuff that I have to organize and somehow fit into this itty bitty apartment. I have to be back to work tomorrow morning, too, and I get to play catch-up on that demo I was working at before I left. I'm thinking there may be some overtime in my future. Well, at least overtime is good for the wallet, if not the spirit.
Oh, and I think I may be coming down with a cold, because I've been sneezing an awful lot today. What a fun week *this* is going to be! Hur hur hur. ;p
Anyhoo, I'm off to shower. A happier and possibly more detailed report should follow tomorrow, assuming work doesn't swallow me up. Wee!
P.S. If you have a few extra dollars and want to help out the recent Tsunami victims, you might want to check in with the Red Cross.
