Local-ish people: will you be available on the weekend of the 27th? (yes, that's the weekend after Thanksgiving) Or alternately, the weekend of the 20th? Please comment with your availability, *especially* if you know J. It's important.
This will only be of interest to a handful of you, but here goes, anyway: Another empty desk was rolled into the area yesterday, which generally means that a new employee will be sitting at said desk in the near future. I happened to peek over there a little while ago, and noticed that the lone item on the desk was a piece of paper that read: "WALT N******" (yes, I censored the last name--I figure I should only be so cavalier with my own identity, after all ^_-)
So, yeah, has anybody actually talked to Walt recently, or know what he's up to nowadays? I doubt he remembers me, and I mainly remember him as The Anti-John, thanks to
alfonzobean's birthday party a while back, but if that empty desk is intended for him, then he's totally going to be my cube neighbor.
And somebody please wire my jaw shut, because HOLY CRAP I'M HUNGRY this week. I've been fairly good with the self-control so far, but who knows how long it'll last? Stupid hormonal rollercoaster.
Is anyone else out there currently drinking coffee for the sole purpose of staying warm? I didn't particularly need the caffeine this morning, but I made a latte because I was so cold, even after being indoors for an hour. It was either that or that weird powdered hot cocoa, which never quite tastes right to me.
I fear caffeine dependency. Did it back in sophomore year, and it was exceedingly bad. I'm currently contemplating switching to decaf, but as somebody who has consistently joked, "Decaf is for sissies!!" I feel pretty silly about the notion.
Tonight is Team America. Tomorrow is my first post-op wushu practice, although I probably won't be doing jumps or sweeps, in favor of being nice to my foot. Thursday is the start of my new training program. (more on that later) Friday is a craft party with work people. Gah, busy week.
Anyway, lunch is about over, so I'm running off.
