Lazy lazy lazy
Sep. 30th, 2004 10:29 pmI'm feeling lazy about LJ today, so I'll be brief:
You probably knew it was coming... but it's SURVIVOR BABBLING TAIMU! HOLY CRAP I am impressed with John K! I was fully expecting him to be one of those utterly dumb and bland pretty people that inevitably wind up on this show, but he actually played his "give a girl Immunity" situation *really* well. He nailed their alliances and was accurate at figuring out who was and wasn't causing a lot of strife in the women's camp.
Of course, it probably helped him that Princess Pre-Law just yak-yak-yakked away and gave him even *more* information... please, bitch, just SHUT UP and let my ears stop bleeding. ;p
After this episode, I'm *so* glad that Mia is gone... what an annoying, whiny, overly-confrontational POS.
Also: I'm pleased with how the presidential debates went, from what parts of it I've seen, and what I've heard others say--Kerry did well, and may have snared some more supporters. I think that in general, or at least in the interviews that I've seen, Kerry strikes me as one who's putting some thought into his responses, rather than spitting out catch phrases or whatever other fluff his advisors and speech writers may recommend.
I have no idea if it'll win him this election, but over time, he's definitely making me feel like less of a tool for giving him my vote. ::laughs:: Now, if we can just create enough wiggle room in the system for third-party candidates to actually *have* a decent shot at getting more than 5% of the vote... heh. :)
Finally, for fans of 8-Bit Theater that haven't checked recently: Nuklear Age is available on Amazon. I haven't decided if I want to buy it or not (partly because I have plenty of books here at home that I haven't yet had time to read), but you know, the guy is pretty funny.

Date: 2004-10-01 04:44 am (UTC)Sure he's funny, but only in small doses. Back when he originally posted excerpts from the book, it made me shudder horribly. I don't know if he's cleaned it up any since then, but if not...
