Well, I would normally delay on posting until later in the day, but I have to kill a few hours--I am going to assist James this morning by going along with him to squawk at this cell phone retailer at the mall, in order to get a $400 charge refunded. This is the latest in a string of problems that they've caused him, due to their shifty business practices and outright misrepresentation of the phone service contracts they're selling. I'd explain, but it's a longer story than I feel like getting into right now.

BTW, if you happen to be from around Eugene/Springfield, DON'T get your cell phone at Wireless Express in VRC. They are lying sacks of cow dung, and they do not deserve your business.

I watched more Babylon 5 in the morning, and I'm just loving it. Whee! I should probably thinking about watching some of the *other* stuff I've gotten from Netflix, though, especially since I'll have to wait a couple days for the next B5 disc.

Well, no word on the job, as of now. I can't say that I'm surprised, because for me, the entire process of looking for a permanent web dev position has basically been an exercise in defensive pessimism. ^^; It's not that I'm down on myself or my skills (because, let's face it, I'm pretty awesome), it's just that, man, this job market sucks. I appreciate the effort that James,

rhyn went through to try and get me in the door, though--it's nice to have that kind of support, even if nothing comes of it.

But, on the contract front, I may be doing some graphic illustration work for some educational software for grade schoolers. I'm not yet sure as to how much work there will be, or how much it will pay, but it sounds like it could be a fun project. :)

Speaking of contract stuff, I should probably go do some of that.
