OMFG, I got one of my freelance projects done today! I AM SO HAPPY :D I'm going to add it to my online portfolio as soon as it goes live, because I love it so much. <3 And also: this means more money coming into my pockets soon. Yay!

I'm thinking about an Official Split of my website, so the personal and professional will live in separate spaces. If I want to start my own company, it's probably a good idea. Mokuzen.net for the professional, probably sore-loser.net for the personal, maybe even a *third* domain for my portfolio and resume. Although, I don't know what I'd call that last one... sarahgiffrow.com seems like the obvious choice... a little *too* obvious for my taste.

In other news, I've been invited to play some Puzzle Pirates with some of James' co-workers. I'd feel like kind of a doofus doing so, because A) I don't know these people, and B) I haven't played it that many times, really. But then again, it *is* one way to possibly schmooze with people in the industry, without having to *act* schmooze-y. ::laughs:: In reality, it is simply another excuse to feed the slowly growing addiction. :)

Reading before bed is so nice; I'm glad to be doing it again. I'm about 2/3rd done with my Marquez book. Once I get done with it, I'll start my Murakami book! (yes, I cheated and bought the Murakami book early. I've managed to resist the temptation to start it, so bite me. :D) I used to be able to have 3 or 4 books going at the same time without any problem when I was younger, but now I don't seem to get through them as quickly. I'm not sure if it's my having less time to read, my having to get reading glasses, or both. Sigh.

Anyway, I'm just blathering on and on, so I'm off.

Edit: More evidence that the smart kids aren't in Bush's camp.

Yeah, dividing one's website into personal and professional editions is a good idea, as I've learned from experience. There's nothing worse than having your employer read your weblog (except maybe having your employer watch you on your personal webcam and take unflattering screenshots of you to share with your co-workers.)

Congrats on finishing the project!

Keep professional stuff on Mokuzen.net and buy sarahgiffrow.com and have it point to mokuzen. :) I'm going to buy megansawyer.com and have it point to ghostgirl.net. :D

Marquez, eh? 100 years of solitude? felt like 200 years of very isolated solitude. On the other hand, I left the book with a new appreciation of the statement "Compadres, we must crush the freedom fighters before the start of the rainy season. And remember, a shiny new donkey to whoever brings me the head of Colonel Montoya".
