batskeetsI had a breakthrough at practice yesterday: I did a back sweep! I haven't been able to do a back sweep, uh, *ever*, because I'd either rotate 3/4 of the way around at most, or I'd completely over-rotate, lose control, and fall on my butt. But today I actually did them! And didn't fall down! I probably still looked like a tool, but I actually did full rotations repeatedly, and that is Good News.
In other news, I had the thought while at practice that I should give up swearing for Lent. I'm not sure if that will be instead of junk food or in addition to it, but it probably wouldn't hurt me to swear less. I spontaneously turn into a huge potty mouth when I'm at wushu practice hurting myself, or alone in the car. This is because A) wushu kicks my butt consistently, and B) practically everyone in Eugene, nay, the entire state, is a terrible driver. :p
I went to work last night, expecting another awful shift after Tuesday's influx of Mardi Gras kiddies (which I got, as expected), but when I came into the office, who should be sitting there but Dan! He got out of a meeting early and decided to come down to Eugene on a lark. He also offered to buy all his old DDS buddies *two* rounds if we go hang out with him this evening, so I guess I have my plans. I'd actually thought about just hanging out at home and taking a break from everything tonight, but when you stick "Free" on the price tag, I just can't say no. :)
I'm supposed to be at practice again right now, because they're watching the videos from Collegiates. I don't feel that I need to see mine, though, because I *know* why it was bad. And I don't usually go on Saturdays, anyway. And I also woke up maybe 15 minutes before I was supposed to be there, so eh. I'm sure the guys are having plenty of fun wanking to videos of the pigtailed girl who won Female All-Around. ::rotfl::

Well, I think I'm going to go freshen up and forage for food.
