I *hate* that I just downloaded this song. ::adlfhsdlkfhaslkf:: I hate that I'm listening to it, because No Doubt, as a generality these days, produces crap music for the crap masses. But there is something vaguely 80's pop, perhaps, about this particular song, and it gets stuck in my head in a not-so-annoying manner.
I'm convinced that the content of the music video (i.e. Gwen kills all her bandmates, 1940s-murderess-style) is another example of why the band members are completely whipped and need to stage an uprising, though. And this one blip on the radar will certainly not distract me from my usual insistance that, if Gwen Stefani were to fall off the planet and disappear at this very instant, it would still not be soon enough. ;p
Anyway, I've been at home for most of the afternoon, except that I had to schlep myself out to get change for the washer and dryer, because I didn't have any. Geh.
One up side to the blah-ness: apparently my oversleeping and missing classes here and there, and just generally not being around a lot of people has kept me from catching the plague. I keep hearing about people with crazy flu symptoms, but I'm doing just great, aside from the usual round of cramps. Of course, now that I've said this, I'm going to get sick, oh, tomorrow. ;p
I'm done assembling the boxes, but they kind of look like ass, because I seem to have misplaced my X-acto knife for the millionth time, so cutting them was a task. What I *really* wanted to do was some kind of molded plastic casing that the Stamp components could fit inside, but obviously I lack the materials and equipment for something like that. If I could warp back to 7th grade shop class, I'd be golden, but alas, no.
Seriously, my middle school shop class was awesome. Not once, in my recollection, did I ever have to build anything out of wood! We spent most of the time playing with polymers and plastics, and making things like flexible change purses, or candy dishes, or picture frames. It was probably a lot safer than wood, when I think about it, because it involved minimal use of power tools that can hack your limbs off.
Anyway, back to folding clothes, I suppose. Maybe some Warcraft III after that--I'm decompressing so I can study like crazy for finals later this week.
