batskeetsToday was boring, crappy, and mostly a blur. I feel gypped.
Steam-a-Seam and double-fold bias tape made the costume finishing a lot easier and faster. Yay! Well, not that it matters, because I didn't wear it out anywhere, but eh, it'll be good backup for future theme parties, I guess. Plus, every time I drink when I've got cold/flu symptoms of any kind, it makes me even more sick. You know, alcohol thins the blood and all that. So yeah, it's probably good that I'm not out getting plastered or something.
And ye gods, it's FREEZING outside. It's freezing *inside*, even, and this apartment holds heat like nobody's business. It's most definitely a blankie day.
I've felt like crap all day. Deep cough + pain in the right eye + cramps + general exhaustion = Badness. I'm so glad I didn't offer to work tonight, even if I don't feel up to doing anything. They tried their darnedest to talk us into it, for the entire week, but I resisted! I've already been suckered once this month, for chrissake.
We just watched Tru Calling on the TiVo next door, and I'm now even more annoyed that it airs opposite Survivor. ;p
Anyway, there's a JSO potluck tomorrow afternoon, which I should be going to, provided I don't oversleep. There's also a JSO party tomorrow night that is mostly during my shift, so I won't get to hang out for very long. Boooo!
