It's Friday Five taimu!
1. Is the name you have now the same name that's on your birth certificate? If not, what's changed? Aye :)
2. If you could change your name (first, middle and/or last), what would it be? That's a tough one--I get tired of being a Sarah, at times, because there are so many girls who carry the same name. Still, I'm not certain what name I could choose instead that wouldn't seem completely foreign to me and my personality.
3. Why were you named what you were? (Is there a story behind it? Who specifically was responsible for naming you?) My parents picked it out--they liked that the meaning of Sarah was "princess." I believe that Lorraine (middle name) stems from the fact that my dad's side is descended from people who lived in Alsace-Lorraine. Yes, it's technically part of France, now, but it's been occupied by Germany many times, so Giffrow is, in fact, a German name.
4. Are there any names you really hate or love? What are they and why? I like the name Cameron, and I'm not entirely certain why. I seem to like a lot of names that could be used on girls or boys. Not that it's a bad thing--at least I don't have to come up with two lists of names for my kids, dependent on gender! :)
As for disliking, I don't hate most names by themselves, but I *do* think it's pretty corny to give siblings or twins similar-sounding or rhyming names. (i.e. Kimmie/Kammie, Darlene/Arlene, Chrissy/Missy, etc.) If I have multiple kids, they'll have nice, distinct names. :)
5. Is the analysis of your name at kabalarians.com / triggur.org / astroexpert accurate? How or how isn't it? If you factor in the entire progression of my life, every part of the Kabalarians analysis has been true for me for at least some part of my life. (Creepy!)
Still cleaning. Aaaagggghhhh. Dusting is EVIL.
I also think it's pretty funny that this song came up on the WinAmp randomizer while I was cleaning.
