Ouch. I've been wearing heels for 8 hours, and I just now took them off. Best feeling EVER.
So, yes, I did wear heels today, and a skirt, if you can believe that. But that's okay, because it was in honour of these two crazy kids, and their getting married. Married people cropping up everywhere! Aaagh! ::rotfl:: But seriously, the venue was very cool, and the wedding dress that
aleisha made turned out fabulous, and the ceremony was tastefully short. Shingo Mama approves!
It was a lovely afternoon/evening, although the happy couple will certainly be missed while they're off honeymooning. They've been away in Roseburg for only a few days, and things have already seemed quieter.
I also had the random thought earlier that, unless my intended or his family winds up having strong religious desires (which is *terribly* unlikely), my wedding will likely be set up without any priests or holy texts or scriptures. My dad's Christian, my ma's Buddhist, and neither one of them is terribly strong about their respective faiths, and they've been cool enough about it to tell me that I should make my own choices about religion. I like that.
But, this also means that, when it comes time to get married, *I* am probably going to have to come up with a happy-fluffy speech about love and marriage, to fill in the time where the religious rites/sermons would normally go. D'OH! ::asldfhasdlkfhdaslk:: I guess being non-religious isn't without its occasional tribulations. :)
Gwaaaa. I couldn't fall asleep for quite a while last night, so I spent many an hour freelancing. I'm very tired right now, and glad to be home.
