Random hair-related conundrum

I took out my streaks today, because my hair's been growing back, and now the streaks are too short to be believable layers anymore. Boo :( I'll put in some longer ones tomorrow, but I'm not sure if I want to stay with the blue or go back to the burgundy-red.

I also can't decide if I want to cut my hair again, or let it keep growing. Believe it or not, I think the shorter hair is actually a bit *more* effort than the longer hair, in terms of styling. It does weird things if I just let it dry. ^^;

It's a million times easier to shampoo, though, and it's nice to have less hair with the warm weather happening. And it's hellacute, of course. But then there are the times when I wish I could actually pull my hair back out of my face, or do random things like odango hair on a whim, but I can't because my hair's too short. I'm torn.

One thing's for sure, though: I am not loving this in-between length that I'm slowly creeping up on, and I'm not sure what to do about it, other than cutting it shorter again. Feh, any ideas?

Hmmm. Have any short hair pictures for me to make a comparison? If I saw them both I could tell for sure which one I like better, but then, what I like may not be what you like. But still, will offer advice if wanted.

Ooh. That is a tough call though both look very very good. Your hair is quality(I should know, it's the first thing I notice about people). I think I like the long hair slightly better, maybe cause of the cute playful way it's all resting on your shoulders kinda messily in the first pic. Is it a different color in the first short hair one or is it just the light?

Nah, it should be the same colour--probably just lighting. The blue vs. the red streaks might also make the natural hair appear to be different shades. ^^;

Ah, I figured it was probably the same color. Well, I'd say grow it out long again. Girls can do cool stuff with long hair. I diced my long hair off because guys aren't allowed to do cool things with it. Well, I mean technically they are but it doesn't look all that great. I cut mine cause hair is fun to experiment with and I got tired of having the same hairstyle for like eight years.

Man, I hate that. My hair's really short, and I want it long again for ponytails and less styling effort, but that in between stage is teh suX0r.
What I've been doing is trimming the back myself so that it doesn't enter mulletland, and letting it kinda grow. At least I can get it into dorky pigtails now. :D
