Man, NWN is dangerous--installing and playing that kept me up until 3am-ish last night. As if I'm haven't had enough trouble training myself to not stay up all night as it is. ;p

So I dragged [livejournal.com profile] junsiew over to Nakadate-sensei's office hours this afternoon, and finally made up my oral. Have I mentioned that I *hate* oral exams? Written exams are cake compared to orals. I always think of brilliant things to say before I go in, but the minute the oral starts, the nerves hit, and it all goes flying out of my brain. Still, I think I did okay. I temporarily forgot one stupid thing, but other than that, it was good. Maybe I should just treat it like theater and memorize a bunch of lines to say beforehand.

I had a cool Japanese moment yesterday at JSO, though: I actually listened to a lot of the random Japanese chatter while we were trying to recruit people for Athlete Festival teams, and understood a lot more than I expected to. For some reason, I am oddly proud of that. ^^;

Right now, I am contemplating the idea of doing the intensive full-year Japanese class over the summer, because Sensei gave both Janet and myself the hard sell while we were up there for the oral. ::laughs:: I want to, but I'll probably need to spend most of my free time during the summer either working the student jobs, and looking for a Real Job. And it's expensive, at that. Geh. But it'd be cool to cram in all that extra language study before I graduate in Fall.

In other news, I *NEED* to nab the Johnny Cash cover of Personal Jesus. I'm told that one exists, and I must find it! The idea of Johnny Cash covering 80's synthpop boggles the mind, but his cover of Hurt was pretty awesome. :)

Anyhoo, I'm off to kill more time until the end of my shift at work.

Wow, my roommate has/had this wacky obsession with The Colonel. It's a sign, man. ::laughs::

I'm a poor college student with two jobs, but Dressed To Kill is on my Wish List. :)
