Oh, come ON. Now this is just stupid. :p

On to better things, I'm at work now. Oh, wait, that's not actually better. ::rotfl:: It could be worse, though.

I'm still working with the Video Project of Doom. I can't seem to capture any sound off of my DV tape, so this is quickly becoming irritating. It wasn't an issue for the other video project, because we weren't supposed to use a soundtrack, but now, it's a *BIG* problem. The concept is *heavily* dependent on the dialogue, and if I have no audio, then you obviously can't hear the dialogue. I *need* the audio in order to bring the funny! ::cry::

If I can, I'm going home early this afternoon, so I can take the remaining footage I need. Later, there's the Taiko performance, which I'm still planning on attending, even though I feel like I might be getting sick right now. Then I spend the rest of the night studying for my exam, working on my video project, and trying to get some much-needed rest.

I think I might have done this survey already, but I can't find the post I did it in, so here we go! Procrastination AWAY!

1. LAST MOVIE YOU SAW IN A THEATER? I think it was Adaptation, which was terribly funny in a fairly bizarre fashion, much like the other movies written by Charlie Kaufman. :)

2. WHAT BOOK ARE YOU READING NOW? What, you think I have time to read?? ::rotfl:: But seriously, I'm sporadically reading bits from Kurt Vonnegut's Hocus Pocus, Marion Zimmer Bradley's The Mists of Avalon when the mood strikes. And I did manage to polish off Fight Club (Chuck Palahniuk) and The Bonesetter's Daughter (Amy Tan) over winter break, though, so that's cool.

3. FAVORITE BOARD GAME?I have to go with Risk, because I spent far, *far* too many late nights during my year in Douglass playing full-on 6-player games of it. And also because I'm good at it! It's all about South America! :D

4. FAVORITE MAGAZINE? My 1997 issue of SHOXX, featuring J! (Thank you Alyson! ;_;) Otherwise, I'm not big on magazines, but we subscribe to Entertainment Weekly, for some reason.

5. FAVORITE SMELLS? Vanilla, rainy days, baked goods in the oven, coffee beans, new car smell, roses, and laundry that just came out of the dryer.

6. COMFORT FOOD? It really depends on the day. I think I most often go for cheese on some crusty french bread. Or some Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream, if it's handy.

7. FAVORITE SOUNDS? Anything being played on a piano, a mixed choir (I miss singing ;_;), my friends talking and/or laughing, pretty much all of the Mad Capsule Markets' bass lines, anything in a room that echoes, the chopping of fresh lettuce, my dad singing along with the classic rock station, splashing through puddles of rain, and that weird popping noise that always startles the hell out of me when you open a can of Pillsbury crescent rolls.

8. WORST FEELING IN THE WORLD? Watching someone you care about go through something terrible, and realizing that you are completely unable to help them or comfort them.

9. WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU THINK OF WHEN YOU WAKE UP IN THE MORNING? "Argh, it can't be time to get up already!" "You should have gone to bed earlier, dumbass!" "I hate morning classes!" "When I take over the world, I'm going impose nighttime business hours." "Why am I taking this class again?" "Why can't I just sleep until noon?" "I am *so* not getting up right now." "But If I don't get up, then I'll do badly in my classes and I'll never graduate and be stuck in college FOREVER," and then I finally get up. ;p

10. FAVORITE FAST FOOD PLACE? Subway, even though the onions stick with me for hours afterward. ^^; But Taco Bell also gets bonus points because you can literally feed yourself there on $2. :D

11. FUTURE CHILD'S NAME?? For some reason, I really like the name Cameron. For either gender! Or Ellis might be cool, too. But definitely something at least somewhat rare, because being a Sarah has shown me just how annoying it is to have a common name.

12. FINISH THIS STATEMENT, "IF I HAD A LOT OF MONEY, I WOULD..." Get cool stuff for, and take care of, myself and everyone I love.

13. DO YOU DRIVE FAST? Uh... define "fast"? ::laughs:: I think I consciously go ~10 MPH over the speed limit on a regular basis, because I'm a good driver and I trust myself. Although one time I came back from the coast doing 90 without meaning to. ::rotfl::

14. DO YOU SLEEP WITH A STUFFED ANIMAL? Only when I'm feeling very sad and lonely... hasn't happened in a while, fortunately. :) I have some stuffed animals in my room, though, because they were too cool to pass up.

15. STORMS-COOL OR SCARY? Definitely cool. One of my favourite things about the midwest is the awesome rain showers in the warmer months.

16. WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CAR? I guess the P.O.S. Ford Taurus that I am currently driving... and it's *really* ready to go to car heaven now.

17. FAVORITE DRINK? If I'm going for caffeine, then Dutch Bros. Hazelnut Mocha, hands down! Otherwise, I think my greatest weakness is for Martinelli's Sparkling Apple Cider. Or a Vitaminwater!

18. FINISH THIS STATEMENT, "IF I HAD THE TIME, I WOULD..." Work on my website, practice my piano/guitar, cook way more often, spend more time with friends, join a band, work on my sewing projects, go back to doing plays, draw that epic manga series that I've been thinking of in my head for probably two years now, and probably 10000 other things that I can't even remember off the top of my head.

19. DO YOU EAT THE STEMS OF BROCCOLI? Uh, WTF? Why shouldn't I?

20. IF YOU COULD DYE YOUR HAIR ANY COLOR, WHAT WOULD
YOU CHOOSE?
Well, I already dye my hair more auburny for fun, but I always wanted to put some streaks in it as a random experiment. I'd like to do blue streaks, because I find deep blue hair ridiculously sexy, but in reality, some shade of true red would probably look better on me.

21. HOW MANY DIFFERENT CITIES/TOWNS HAVE YOU LIVED IN? Oh jeez, here we go: Cardiff (By The Sea), CA; Oceanside, CA (I think?); Carlsbad, CA; Huntingtown, MD; North Beach, MD; Beaverton/Aloha, OR (2 different houses); Waterford, CT; Crotchester Rochester, PA; and Eugene, OR. And my parents now live in Morro Bay, CA, so I go "home" to there for holidays. So I guess that makes 9 or 10, depending on how you look at it. Possibly 11 if you decide to count Beaverton and Aloha separately.

22. GLASS HALF EMPTY OR FULL? As I'm often wont to say, "It's *only* half full!" :)

23 FAVORITE SPORT TO WATCH? BASEBALL!! :D It's the only sport I really follow, and I have fond memories of going to games with my dad, and I used to play on a team when I was younger. I have a lot of positive associations with the sport.

Uh, where's #24? ;p

25. SAY ONE NICE THING ABOUT THE PERSON WHO SENT THIS. Marc's a cool guy who is decidedly different from those I usually associate with, and makes me feel like less of a dork for being so ridiculously enamored with Japan, and I hope I'll eventually know him well enough to have a far cooler comment than this if the question ever comes up again. ^^;;

26. WHAT IS UNDER YOUR BED? Last I recall: my bin of extra shoes that I don't wear often, my old colourguard rifle, and some prints.

27. TOILET PAPER/PAPER TOWEL-OVER OR UNDER? Over. Dangly badness happens otherwise.

28 OF ALL THE PEOPLE YOU SENT THIS TO, WHO'S MOST LIKELY TO RESPOND? Probably Henry ([livejournal.com profile] dakania), because he's as big as sucker for these as I am! :D Well, assuming he hasn't already done it.

29. LEAST LIKELY? All the people I know who hate surveys with a fiery passion. They just don't understand. ;_;

And it's time to work on the video some more, and try not to drop-kick this thing out the window. ;p
