"You want Geico, not Gecko!"
Feb. 5th, 2003 06:45 pmOkay, so I've been researching car insurance a bit, and I emailed an online quote to my dad recently. I talked on the phone a bit with my ma about it a few days later, and she told me that my daddy had sent me an e-mail saying that I needed more/different coverage or something, and I hadn't gotten it yet, so I was thinking WTF?
So today, Geico e-mails me, and tells me that my daddy's e-mail got sent to them by mistake. They forwarded it to me, *AND* they sent me a new rate quote which included the coverage my dad was telling me to add!
D00d. That is some downright fabulous customer service on their part. Daaaaaamn.
And now, some funny from Slashdot:
Re: why Star Trek: Nemesis did badly at the theaters, to which one response was the poor choice of release date (right between Harry Potter and LOTR--duh, nice one, Berman ;p)
"Yes, I agree. Berman fell victim to one of the classic blunders.
The most famous, of course, is never get involved in a bidding war with Dreamworks.
But only SLIGHTLY less well known is this:
Never go in 5 days ahead of LORD OF THE RINGS when the franchise is on the line!
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Ha ha ha ha --"
I'm HUN-GRAY! ::wanders off::

Date: 2003-02-05 11:42 pm (UTC)Two of the absolute best, both from Gimli: the first, when he's telling Aragorn to toss him, becomes:
And then this little gem, where "Bring your pretty face to my axe" becomes:
I swear, I was laughing for 10 minutes after that one... And I'm still laughing from the 2nd time around!
