"I'll put on pants for beer."
Jan. 12th, 2011 03:25 pmHUMP DAY, bitches.
I did a bit of work at the studio on Monday, helping mount paper rolls to the wall, and oh, the end is in sight! The studio is coming together, Comcast's continuing idiocy regarding our internet service (or lack thereof, more accurately) notwithstanding. It was pretty excellent to see
theamazingjosh get all excited about the shooting space, once the roller mounts were actually in place. Good things are ahead!
Last night had me at the Blazer game, doing my first bit of promoting for the derby bout this Saturday. I didn't get to be on skates while I was promoting, but I did hand out flyers like they were going out of style. I'm always surprised by the responses I get from different people in these situations--mostly, in the case, the folks who handed the flyer back to me and said they weren't interested, because who the hell isn't interested in at least finding out a little more about roller derby?! (heh)--but folks were generally nice, and I had a good time hanging out with the ladies, both during the flyering and the actual game.
Anyhoo, it's Wednesday, I'm tired, but even if I am going to be out and about again this evening, I should at least be able to enjoy myself. Staying home *does* sound incredibly appealing, but I think I'm doing okay at finding a silver lining.
