Decoratin'!

Okay, I reallyreally need to pick out some paint swatches for my room. Even if I can't paint right away, I can at least start picking out other decorative things based on the paint swatches I pick.

It's really hitting me lately how much I don't like the current state of my bedroom. There's work stuff taking up space in there, there's clutter all over the place (which I refuse to clean, because a lot of it is not mine), the walls are blank and boring, bleeehhh. It looks like a bunch of random crap thrown together haphazardly because, well, that's what it is.

It's a place to sleep, I guess, because it has a bed, but I only really hang out up there for the privacy it affords me. It's certainly not a space I *enjoy* being in, and I can't really get completely away from my work. If the room had been All Mine from the start, there would at least be a lot less crap in it.

Mostly for my own edification, but the things I really want to do... not necessarily in this order, but 1 and 2 are a must, and 3 would be ideal right after that:

1) Get Boy's clutter out of the way
2) Get photo servers and gear storage moved out of my room
3) Paint walls with pretty colors
4) Set up little desk, sewing table, read/relax space where photo stuff currently lives
5) Get fabric and do cool canopy-like idea I have for bed
6) Get new mattress and box spring, probably matching new bedding
7) Sew my own new drapes, since I will actually have a freakin' place to sew
8) Make big prints of a couple of my photos for wall decor.
9) Probably other random decorative goodies, as things progress and time goes on...
