I finally, FINALLY had my knee appointment this morning, and the news was, fortunately, not terrible. They took x-rays of my knee, asked a bunch of questions, and checked for swelling and tightness.
The x-rays looked normal, apparently, but they're sending me in for physical therapy for the next few weeks. I have an appointment for that tomorrow, and they'll be giving me some support for my knee to help isolate it, and we'll be trying to find and fix whatever imbalances are causing the pain in my knee. I'm not sure what that'll entail, exactly, but hopefully my knee will respond to PT... otherwise, I'll have to go back in for an MRI to look for deeper problems.
I suspect I'll get more definitive answers on what I actually need to *do* for my knee to get better tomorrow. But things are finally moving, and that's a huge relief. :)
