I've always been vaguely curious, but now Food Carts Portland has basically convinced me that I ought to start checking out the street food available near The Job. If there's one thing I love more than delicious food, it's delicious food in large quantities for cheap!

This has been a weekend of awesome food. Free pizza at a fundraiser we helped out with on Saturday, some late-night roasted garlic and brie at Horse Brass, a really late (as in almost-2pm) Sunday brunch at Genie's, and a pretty amazing Guiness-based beef stew at the Irish pub down the street.

Oh! And plenty of free Chinese food, thanks to a wushu demo I did yesterday with the school. I've been sore all week from copies amounts of WiiFit, so I wasn't expecting to put in a stellar performance, but I actually did a pretty awesome job. Now I wish I'd brought my FlipVideo so somebody could've filmed. ;p

Speaking of wushu, there's *finally* someone at the school who is A) female, B) close to my age, and C) isn't shy to the point of ridiculousness. She's apparently been with the school for quite a few years, but was away at college until last summer. We're not officially in the same class, but she does my class sometimes, and we'll both be in competition class after my next promotion, so that'll hopefully at least make practice more bearable from a social standpoint. ;)

Anyhoo, whoof, no more eating out for a while, even if it *is* cheap or free. We splurged a bit because it was Erick's birthday, but after all of that, a salad sounds really good right now.
