Let's eat the whole world!
Jan. 30th, 2008 03:16 pmOkay, you guys, I can't help but snark on this post. I used to think *I* was picky, but even when I was a kid and hated a lot of things, I still ate a wider variety of foods than this lady's husband.
Seriously, how do you cook for somebody who's THAT picky? Or moreover, how does a person survive long enough to marry, without eating vegetables or fruit? It boggles the mind, it does.
I was feeling more inspired to bake than to cook an interesting dinner last night, so I threw together a goulash-y concoction and spent most of my time in the kitchen baking Pumpkin Protein Cookies. I think I goofed on the sweetener-to-Stevia conversion, so they could've been a bit sweeter, but they still weren't bad! I threw some raisins into the second batch and that pretty much fixed the problem. Yay low-cal cookies! Pumpkin is magical stuff.
On a completely unrelated note, we watched Close Encounters of the Third Kind yesterday, and it was long, but not bad. It was incredibly evil of them to use musical tones and solfege in the movie, though, because I've had that blasted five-note ditty stuck in my head all day today.
And, I'm off.
