drive-by

I was most definitely NOT feeling my Wheaties when I got up today, blegh. (many thanks to the Red Devil for that, grr) So, we're still in Eugene as of right now, but we'll head back earlyish tomorrow. Then, it's tidying the house up and wrangling some food and beverages before our wee handful of people comes over. (if you log in on LJ and can see the party post, consider yourself and your comrades invited)

Driving back yesterday also sucked, largely because I hit horrible, dead-stop traffic TWICE during the drive. I was making really awesome time outside of that, too! It was bad enough that, after creeping along on I-5 south of Sacramento for half an hour, I actually got off at a nearby exit and drove through town to try and get around the car accident that was backing up all four lanes for miles... it sort of worked, but I still had to drive through the mountain passes in the dark. :p

Fortunately, the weather was snow-free, in spite of the terrifying weather forecast! And I got to have an In-N-Out Burger for dinner, which is *always* good. (note to self: just say No to raw onions on your burgers)

Oh yeah, and I think I need the Rocky theme on my iPod. Yeah, I know, it's cliche as all-get-out, but good training inspiration is hard to come by. ;p
