Turn that frown upside-down
Sep. 5th, 2007 12:18 pmThe house is full! Or rather, it will be soon. One of our renters flaked out on us a few days ago, because she apparently lost her job and decided to leave Portland entirely.
niro stepped up to the plate, and he'll be moving in this coming weekend, so we're full-up again. Woo!
My only complaints right now are:
1) Ian seems to think that Thomas' cats left behind fleas in the house, which, GROSS. I thought mosquitoes were getting me somehow, but fleas would explain the smaller bites.
2) Thomas has a lot of crap still in the house--mostly in the kitchen--and we haven't heard whether he actually wants any of it or not.
3) Landlord has a lot of *other* crap still in the house that we're stuck with. Some of it is useful (i.e. couches!), but some of it is completely useless in its current state. (i.e. a bookcase with no shelves in it. WTF?)
Anyhoo, once we get all the house stuff ironed out, I'll be planning some people-gathering goodness, so that means... PARTY POLL!
[Poll #1050667]
I think I've also concluded, after this past weekend, that I really shouldn't spend lots of time alone in a place where I don't know anybody. I suspect it's a little *too* much like my the latter half of my second year of college, and that time period was wildly depressing. Don't really need to re-live that, so much.
Anyhoo, there are things to look forward to... a bit of re-centering ought to help. And also, not feeling like crap when I wake up in the morning. Gin + being short on sleep = BAD TIMES.
