drive-by again

I lucked out and got in for a haircut today... it's cute, but it's really damned short! I think I'm going to wait longer before my next cut, so it can grow out a bit more.

I forgot to blab about it yesterday, but I heard about there being tons of new people at wushu club on Monday. I walked in on Wednesday, and we've effectively doubled in size. Can I just say, HOLY CRAP! I don't know what I'm going to do with 30-some-odd people on this team, because it has *never* been that big before! I hope the newbies are patient with us for the next week or two.

The timing of it kind of sucks, too, because Collegiates has always been on the west coast, but this year, it's probably going to be at U of Maryland or Georgia Tech. That *really* puts a restriction on how many people can go. In previous years, it has basically been set up so that everyone who wants to compete can go, but we're not going to have the budget to haul 30 people over 3000 miles, unless we *really* get lucky on fundraising. More than likely, I'll have to send the team off on the trip without me, because I'd rather have the spot go to someone who can compete. For the rest of us, I guess Berkeley is our only shot.

junsiew bought me lunch today with her meal plan points. Woo! The food at the new Living Learning Center is a fair shade better than anything I ever ate at Carson or Hamilton.

Wushu, and then dinner with the Posse tonight... one of our WoW guildies will be in town for the next few days, so we gotta show him around and such. ;)

random blip

Well, bah. I'm supposed to be over hanging out with the Posse, but I have to wait a few more minutes until I can put my stupid laundry in the stupid dryer. Can't exactly go out of town with only one clean pair of underpants. SIGH.

I wasn't too sure about the haircut, but now that I've showered and styled it myself, I am totally in love. Woooo! It's still kind of short for my taste, but it's conceptually good. That's the one thing that's kind of annoying about any and all hairstylists I've ever been to: they always end up using 10 pounds of goopy hair product on your head when they style it. Blecch. :p

Also, I now understand how coaches get fat: I feel like I hardly did anything at wushu today, because I spent so much time teaching! I hope it gets better as the n00bs get up to speed... unfortunately, some people learn slower than others.
