I've been slackin' on the birthdays, so: Happy birthday
skamp!
Weekend was much fun. I'd originally planned on doing MC for the first time on Saturday, but the raid was full by the time I got back from doing errands, and I wasn't really in a WoW mood anyway, so I went to a birthday party and the Sasquatch festival, and saw
rmalena at the latter, even! There was lots of sometimes-good, sometimes-weird beer, and a decent band, and a cool fire dancing performance near the end.
Yesterday, I was in Portland all day for sailing and a fun fun photoshoot with a model who's interested in photography! Sailing was an interesting experience, once I got past trying to figure out all the sailing lingo, and although it was kind of a sucky day for it, it was still a lot of fun, and I learned a few things. The shoot was good, too; we went up to the chick's apartment and we picked out random outfits for each other, and then we went around to various interestingly run-down parts of Portland. She and I took turns modeling, while she, Ben, David, and occasionally I would take shots. (jeebus I need a new camera; I practically want to cry every time I see something I've taken on those Rebel XTs ;_;) I'm excited to see the results, but I have to wait a bit, because we have to mail our CDs to each other. The guys seemed to think it was pretty successful, though, and so did I. :D
The hair show thing went well this morning, and my new haircut is really, really neat! They did an asymmetrical a-line, and did a neutral black haircolor with purple undertones, so it'll look cool and purple-y in the sun, I'm told. It's such anime hair, but I really like it! The only complaint I have is that they used an ass-ton of product, so the styling is not entirely to my liking. There's potential for fun with this cut, though, so yay!
I'm definitely questioning a lot of things in my life. You'd think I'd have it figured out by now, being several years out of college and employed in my Field of Choice, but the questions never really stop. And then there's the part that tells me not to question and just enjoy. That seems selfish if you do it too much, though, so I can't quite sell myself on it.
Well, at least the weekend rocked. My weekends have been effin' magic lately. I think it's the only thing that gets me through the week, as of late. :)
I'll continue the trip recap when my brain hurts less.
