Feb. 17th, 2006 01:51 pmOkay, so is anyone else vaguely unsettled by the ads for Yahoo! Personals? I'll just be sitting there, checking my e-mail and minding my own business, when suddenly someone's FACE is staring at me in extreme close-up. Maybe I'd like to meet the person *before* I meet the nosehairs, hmm?
I just got the e-mail that MY NEW SILKS CAME IN FROM CHINA OMG!!
Yeah, I'm just a little bit excited. ::rotfl:: The only way it'd be better is if they got to my house in time for the demo this Sunday. I think they're getting mailed out to me today, so that probably won't happen, but I should hopefully be getting them soon. Holy craaaaaap. I can't wait to see them!
On the annoying side of wushu things, during prep time for this morning's demo, I was running through some of the broadsword form, and I somehow managed to hit the brick wall behind me and TEAR MY BROADSWORD. As in the blade itself! It's thin flex-steel, and not really meant for actually hitting things, so now it's got a big effing tear in it. Argh. It's not safe to practice with it, and I don't even know when I can get a new one, because money's still tight. Bloody effing hell.
Oh yes, and let's not forget that during the demo, I did straightsword instead of broadsword, and I managed to whack myself in the lip with my sword in the middle of the form. Apparently, you couldn't really tell that it happened, because Suey, Sean, and Phil didn't even know I'd hit myself in the face until I told them, but, still, gah. I think I'm just happy that I didn't start bleeding all over the place because of it.
I guess this is the week for bad stuff happening at wushu. Thank God it's almost over! I'm almost afraid to go to practice this afternoon. ::rotfl::
Tonight is practice, and peekture time, and Sci-Fi Channel night. The rest of the weekend is shaping up about like I predicted yesterday. Man, I am going to welcome the extra sleep. Woooo!
