All I want for Christmas is...
Dec. 13th, 2005 03:10 pmThinking of things that I want for Christmas is hard, especially when you consider that anything I get *must* be able to fit into my car. I definitely need things like shelving and storage devices, or a new office chair, but there's no way I can transport that over 1000 miles. :p
Then, of the things that don't fit into *that* category, many of those are specialized, or online-only, or involving other specifics that aren't easy to give out. There are lots of funny t-shirts that I want, but those are all online ordering. Shoes or clothes, in general, are something I'd rather pick out myself, because nobody quite has my taste nailed down. My penchant for obscure or overseas bands makes it nearly impossible to buy CDs in-store. Custom wushu silks are something I've wanted for a while, but that involves color choices, providing my measurements, and ordering from a particular place online.
So, in short, there really aren't many things that I want, that anyone could just go to the store and buy for me. I take that to mean either: 1) I need to be less picky about my personal taste, or 2) I need to stop finding any and all cool things that I like on Teh Internets.
In other news, I've become oddly fascinated by Last.fm. It keeps track of music you've been listening to, and you can see stats and find new music based on what you already like... I think I need to listen to more stuff before I can have any real fun with it, but if you want, you can see what I'm listening to. It's mostly while I'm at the job, thus far, so my selection is a lot more limited than the 13GB of Awesome I have at home, but I'm working on that sporadically. :)
As of today's server maintenance: SERGEANT MAJOR FIZZYWIG. Uh-huh, ye-eah. That almost makes up for Bobblethumb getting ganked within 30 seconds of logging on. :p
