Random thing I forgot to mention previously: I wandered into the front room while The Daily Show was airing on Monday night, just in time to hear the intro for the evening's guest: author of Slaughterhouse Five, Jailbird, etc., etc., and I nearly wet myself as it dawned on me that the guest was Kurt Vonnegut. KURT-FREAKING-VONNEGUT. And of course, Jon knows the man's work well... God, yet another reason why Jon Stewart makes me happy in my pants.

Anyway, it was a good appearance. Mr. Vonnegut is getting on in years, and he seemed like he had to work at it a bit to keep his thoughts organized, but he was a lot of fun, and laid down some good lines, even if it did take him a some extra time to get to the punchline.

Anyhoo, last night I had to pick up a few things, because the rafting trip is this weekend. I had a momentary lapse of sanity and bought an UnderArmour shirt. It was A) not-cotton, B) comfortable, and C) kinda-flattering, but it's also very form-fitting, which gives me a bit of the jeebies. Phil is a big fan of UnderArmour, it seems, but he has abs, and I? Kind of don't. ;p I mean, I'm gaining them, a little, but certainly not to the crazy-muscular degree of the people in the display ads. Maybe the shirt will motivate me to train harder? Heh.

I'm working on a fun beer label project--and by "working," I mean, "shoehorning it in when I actually have a spare minute"--and I actually managed to sketch out some concept art for it last night. I hope it turns out as nifty as it's looking in my head.

Speaking of art, this quiz certainly helps explain why my artistic and analytical sides are always arguing with each other: neither one of them is particularly dominant over the other.

Today has been kind of a bummer, but not as much as it could have been. I'm out for now.
