"Just say no to crack!"
Aug. 31st, 2005 04:32 pmI am deeply envious of those who went to PAX 2005. ALL OF YOU! I fart in your general direction! ;p
Yesterday was good, although it blew goats in terms of sleep. I didn't finish my unpacking, and
bookid was kind enough to feed me, and I *still* didn't get to sleep until 1am. What. The. HELL. I did clean up some stuff in the kitchen, at least, but still, why does sleep have to be such an elusive beasto?
Movies have been rather disappointing, as of late. It seems like it's been a while since I've seen a movie advertised, and felt compelled to drag all my friends out to see it as soon as is humanly possible. I think Serenity will probably get me in the door--because it's going to be nothing short of awesome--but it's looking pretty dry, otherwise... are there really so few films worth watching out there? Or am I just not hearing about the really good stuff?
Eugene people: y'all ought to check out The Bier Stein, near 11th and Mill. They opened fairly recently, and I just got a truly slammy grilled panini sandwich there for lunch. And, as the name would suggest, they seem to have a pretty good beer selection, too.
You know what is awesome?? I get a 3-day weekend this weekend! Which is the weekend right after my vacation!! Hot damn. I suspect I'll need the extra day, because at this rate, I'll never catch up on sleep without it. :p
Ankle is less gimpy. Still looks puffy, but doesn't feel as bad. Pah, I give up.
IT'S OVER!!
