So, I get to work today, and the first thing I hear is that the network is down! Wheeee! ;p Fortunately, the thing I left off with yesterday is not something I need the network to work on, so I'm not just twiddling my thumbs here. It's still a bummer, though, because I was so, so tempted to fall back asleep for an hour this morning, and now I'm *really* thinking I should have.
Oh, it's back up now, partially. ::laughs:: Guess my timing wasn't so bad.
Anyway, I am going in to get new glasses tomorrow!! I've been putting it off forever, but I can't take any more headaches like the ones I've been getting over the past week or two. My eye exam is scheduled for Saturday afternoon. I have no idea what kind of frames I'll get. I'd like something that's a little different from the pair I've been wearing for the past 3 years, but a lot of the styles I like on the rack aren't so flattering on my face. Sigh ;p Advice?
I think somebody who sits behind me is dating or friends with a Sarah, because I keep hearing my name intermittently, and it's kind of making me nuts.
Taiji was good yesterday--instead of working on the form, I went along with the group that was doing energy work. New and different, but ultimately good. Sifu also introduced me to a dude who was visiting from Portland, because he was apparently one of the founding members of UO Wushu, and knew Brandon and Peter and all those guys. Heh. :) I guess he used to train with Sifu, too, when he was in Eugene.
Anyhoo, we had a short chat, and he asked me what was up with the team, when Phil was graduating, yadda yadda. It occurs to me, after that conversation, that we still have no idea who's going to coach once Phil leaves. David would be the most logical choice, but A) he graduates around the same time as Phil, I think, and B) he really, really, *really* doesn't want to do the whole leadership thing. After that? I think *I* am next in the food chain, which is kind of cool and kind of appalling at the same time, LOL. It makes me feel like I need to learn more, because I still suck butt at everything except maybe southern. Hopefully the new recruits can rise above my general level of suckitude, if I end up coaching. :)
I'm too brain-drained to write more, so I'm off.
