This just in: Sarah still loves the wang. ::rotfl::

Whoever made the first pot of coffee this morning apparently likes to be able to stand up a spoon in their coffee cup, because, wow, that was strong, serious stuff. I think it actually put some hair on my chest. ::rotfl::

That reminds me--I miss my tea. :( I ran out of the good stuff and I need to get more, but I haven't really had the chance. I had some earl grey from a tea bag a day or two ago, and wow, *so* not the same. I still love coffee, though, and there is plenty of good, free coffee around the office, so it could be a lot worse.

Have I mentioned how freakin' GOOD Fullmetal Alchemist is? Because I probably haven't said it enough. I still remember the opening scene in the very first episode, and it still gives me chills. This series definitely has its silly moments, but it also has some pretty dark themes and intense story. The theme of "equivalent exchange" is an interesting one, and it often leads back to what makes a person, and defines their parts, their souls. (can you really offer up something equivalent to exchange for a human soul?) For some characters, it has also been about how far they're willing to go to get what they want--are the Elric brothers willing to hurt innocent people to get their bodies back? How far wil Roy Mustang go to rise to the top of the State Military? It kind of gets the brain rolling, as far as what *you* would do to get the thing you want most.

But really, I can't say enough about the show. The world where it takes place is kind of an interesting mix of the magical, old world, and modern: alchemical powers, the nature of and power held by the government and military, the look and feel of the cities and towns, and the more recent technologies of weapons, automobiles, and so forth. It's even good in dubbed English, which is pretty high praise, coming from me. Whoever they got to do the voice of Alphonse is a pretty good VA--*especially* if he's as young as he sounds--and he really sells his lines in some pretty gut-wrenching scenes. (NA voice actors actually are getting better, but that's another discussion)

Oh yeah, in relation to my post yesterday, apparently Scott *did* get booted off of AI this week! And as promised, I am laaaughing. Bahahahaaa. :D

Wushu was *great* yesterday. I'm not even that sore today, either!! SO HAPPY :D I'm hugely pumped for the demos this weekend, especially the one on Sunday. Yee!

That's all I've got.
