Before I start my nightly ramble: Spycraft people, [livejournal.com profile] polysciguy says to pass on that the game isn't starting until around noon on Saturday. (he has to attend some meetings in PDX today and will be there overnight)

After watching Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn on the TiVo last night, I have determined that I *love* the way Hal Sparks dresses. I'd almost say that it's like a male version of how I'd like to dress, except that it's a bit more retro and a bit less geek, and looks about a billion times hotter on him. Heh. ^^;

The show itself, however, didn't particularly entice me to watch it again. Maybe if I learn ahead of time that someone else I desperately want to see is appearing, I'd turn it on, but it was only marginally funny. This was mostly because Colin and the other two guys-that-weren't-Hal were talking over each other constantly, such that I couldn't decipher half of what they were saying :p

After browsing through this Fametracker thread on celebrity plastic surgery, I wound up looking at the before-and-after breast implant pages linked in the latter pages of the thread. And let me say, wow, that stuff is scary. Why does anyone want to do that to themselves?? I mean, I guess I kind of understand if you have shriveled-looking A-cup and want a bit of a boost, but going up to a D or DD is plain crazy, IMO, especially if you're starting out with a nice B or C! How do you even find clothes that fit with such an enormous rack??

It *is* kind of funny how many Hollywood people get really bad plastic surgery done on themselves, though: I'm sure that awfulplasticsurgery.com only scratches the surface. Aren't these people supposed to have lots of money and endless connections that would allow them to locate and hire doctors capable of *good* work?

Anyway, today I spent a good half hour or so on the phone this afternoon, talking with the guy who called me yesterday. It's sounding like he will need me within a few weeks, and assuming all goes well on his end, it would be ongoing and consistent work--perhaps enough work that I could quit doing the crazy nighttime job in the forseeable future, and maybe even go full-time. HAPPINESS :D I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch, though, so I'm still going to proceed towards getting my own company running.

My days haven't been too exciting this week. Mostly, I've been busting my hump on the shopping cart/order fulfillment system I've been working on. I was so tunnel-visioned on that this evening that I forgot to make dinner. ::rotfl:: See, *this* is why I do web dev: I can throw myself into it so completely that I forget to eat! I have found precious few activites that actually cause me to ignore/block out my voracious hunger pangs, so that's pretty rare.

Anyway, that's it for me. I'm going to try and crash a bit earlier than I have been all week. (yeah, like that's going to work :p)

To do list: Eweb, fax, bedroom migration, freelance, company site.
