So, I watched all of Season 1 Disc 1 of Babylon 5, because I couldn't fall asleep. And then, I still couldn't fall asleep, so I watched some stuff on the TiVo. I also made some huge progress on my afghan. I finally got to sleep sometime after 3p, and woke up at 8p, so I got a little over 4 magical hours of sleep! LUCKY ME!

But, on the plus side, I'm definitely enjoying B5 so far. Back when it first came out, I was a middle school dork-face with an insane sense of loyalty to Star Trek and all its spinoffs, so I wouldn't go near B5. I even blabbed all this crap, once or twice, about Walter Koenig being sort of traitorous for doing roles on Trek *and* B5. Yes, I was a dork even back then. Thankfully, I'm far past those old hangups, and I can now enjoy B5 in all its glory through the magic of DVD. :)

Also, I'm SO OWNED by how old-school the CG spaceship clips are! Granted, they were probably pretty spectacular effects by 1994 standards, but every time they use one, I just can't help thinking, "awww, how cute!" But, then again, all I've ever done as far as 3-D rendering is a really ugly beginner-level glass, so I should probably shut the hell up.

In other news, all the podiatrists I called are quoting me nearly twice as much as it cost me to fix the same problem the last time I had it. :p It's still something that I *could* pay for myself, but I'm thinking about holding out for a little longer until I have health insurance again, because that should be happening really soon. As in, the maybe-in-less-than-a-week kind of soon. I don't want to get socked for $4-500 just because my feet are misbehaving.

Otherwise, I got a whole lot of nothing done today, but that's okay, I suppose, because I am *so* ready for bed.

After seeing a community post about studying at coffee shops, I'm thinking that I can raise my daily productivity, *and* get out of the house more often at the same time by taking my work away from home! But, it involves fixing the Mac first, which could be quite an adventure. I think I might actually get up early enough to tackle that tomorrow, though, so hopefully I can find the place in town that sells the part I need for cheap.

Also, if I'm going to put said idea into action, then I'll need a less bulky (and, well, less falling-apart) satchel for my workthings, so I just nabbed a Strong Bad Messenger Bag! My backpack has served me well, but I really don't need that kind of carrying capacity anymore.

To do list: make hair appointment, move back podiatrist consultation, get computer part and fix the Mac.

Good night, my darlings!
