That's all I ever do...

Well, okay, maybe not. But that's where I am now, and that's what I was doing before I came in for my shift! At least right now, the nose-to-the-grindstone behaviors are partly due to the fact that my most recent freelance project been really fun for me. It's somewhat rare that I get to do something as outrageous, vivid, and fun as that layout turned out to be. :)

In the realm of Real Jobs, I'm going to apply somewhere in town that I applied to a few months ago, when I was still taking classes. Now I have far better availability, and I've also added some strong pieces to my portfolio, so hopefully it'll go better this time. :)

I definitely need to make some phone calls this week. As in, personal calls. As in, long overdue personal calls. It's rather annoying how it becomes more awkward the longer you put it off. But, it involves that pesky thing of actually, you know, *using* the phone.

Anyhoo, there's a ride that needs getting, so I'm off for now.

EDIT: I just had the best damned Slurpee I've had in ages. Blue Raspberry, a.k.a. the Best Flavor. Even the consistency was ideal! Oh, yes.

Also, I *definitely* need one of these shirts! It cracks me up, for some reason. I also like this one. BEWARE OF PEOPLE! Hee.

I have nothing to say about the quote, except that Disgaea is one hilariously weird game. Hee!

Today was pretty good, I think. I got my butt out of bed before noon, and saw The Butterfly Effect with [livejournal.com profile] craftyran! I haven't been to a weekday matinee in a *long* time, so it was a lot quieter there than I'm used to. The movie itself was also rather interesting, but I won't say more than that, because we're reviewing it, and have enacted a non-discussion clause so we don't influence each other's views. :)

Whoops, I'm at work and there's a ride, so I'm off for now. More later, if there's a lull.

EDIT (1:31am): It's kind of a slow night. Hooray!

After dropping Ran off, I went over to VRC on a lark, to see if Hot Topic had any corset tops. They didn't, but I did leave with one small purchase: a cute t-shirt with a skull and crossed swords on the front. It was cute and pirate-y, and I've been making good money, so one t-shirt seemed okay. Some of my old Thinkgeek shirts are showing their age. And, after all the suits and femmy pullovers that I got from Ma for Christmas, I need something more casual and fun.

Anyhoo, that's about all the shopping I'll be doing for a goodly long while, unless I either get a job, win the lottery, or find a sugar daddy.

I got some more freelance work done, had a pretty brutal workout at wushu, and got back in time for the new Angel ep. It has been a busy day, but a good one. EDIT, part deux: Oh yeah, I forgot to mention: the wushu team t-shirts came in today! The shirt itself is a little unexpected, because it's this flat grey instead of the mottled, "heather" grey we were expecting. But the logo and everything looks pretty neat. Twee!

I think I'll try to do some freelance-y bits from here, since there are no rides. ::poof::
