Since a few people asked, I'll just post it here: More info about Bubble Tea. Read and enjoy!

It's going to be a busy couple of days for me: tomorrow I am meeting with the EMU staff to iron out tech details, and then I'll likely be sitting through several hours of rehearsal in order to get it down. On Saturday, it'll be more of that, plus other miscellaneous Japan Night preparations. After that, I'm hoping to pop in on the joint birthday party for [livejournal.com profile] rantar and [livejournal.com profile] rhyn. Fortunately, Sunday is completely open, so I'm going to rest and relax.

I have finally started knitting again. I burned myself out on it a bit after the big push to finish my mom's Christmas gift, but now I'm working with another project. It's actually one that I finished previously, but I decided it wasn't long enough, and that I wanted to change some of the patterning. :)

Which America-Hating Minority am I? )

To do tomorrow: Blizzard layout, startup stupf, gift stuff, sewing. Hopefully I won't have this splitting headache tomorrow, so I'll get more things done.

P.S. Have I mentioned that I love this wallpaper? HOORAY TURKEY :D
First off: Japan Night!
6pm, EMU Ballroom!
$6 students, $7 adults

So, I went down to the ballroom around 4:30p, and learned that rehearsal wasn't starting until 6! Geh. So, I helped out in the exhibition room for a little while with some display boards, mainly correcting and writing out directions for a festival dance on the board. One of the NJ girls read the directions from the Japanese info sheet and acted it out, and then I made it into English that made sense. So, for that part of the board, the spelling should be outstanding! :)

I missed out on wushu, which sucks. They all came up to the ballroom to practice jumps, so I got some serious hairy eyeball from Phil when I was passing by doing Japan Night stuff. ::rotfl:: ^^;

Rehearsal was S-L-O-W. I was hoping for at least a second run-through without pauses, but we barely got through the first one, so no luck for me. :( But, at least I have a pretty good idea of what needs to happen lights-wise. I am in charge of making sure the stage lights do what they need to do, but there will be friendly EMU techs to help run the board, so it's not too stressful. I took a lot of notes, so I think it should run smoothly, provided that the actors and sound guys also have it together.

I'm already craving another bubble tea. Ohhhh boy. I may have to make a special trip out to get another tomorrow.

In other news, the mythical PS2 is FINALLY HERE! ::falls out of chair:: I almost missed out on getting it today! I didn't hear the postal guy knock on the door, but when I came downstairs to go do errands, the mail truck was only one building up the street, so I walked over there and managed to get the box from him. Everything looks good, although we haven't hooked it up yet. I just got home maybe 5-10 minutes ago, so I haven't had the chance.

I'll be rehearsing like a crazy person starting at 1p tomorrow. SO, I'm going to go play with my new toy now. <3
