CHREEEEESMAS :O

So, hey, it's been a good day.

We got to my grandpa's house kind of late, because we took longer than expected loading the car, and then we had to turn around like 20 minutes down the road because we'd forgotten something. Bleh!

We opened gifts pretty soon after me and my parents arrived, and I got exciting stuff. :D I have a 1-year membership in AAA now, so I'll be safe on the road, should anything happen. I also got the MAMMOTH HARD DRIVE OF DOOM! ::nosebleed:: It's 200GB, 7200rpm, so my mp3/video server might actually get built soonish! Maybe then, I can have an anime night and show all the newer anime I've downloaded, like Naruto!

I also got a cute sleepshirt, which I'm wearing now, a little glass earring box from Tiffany's, and a leather wallet. Also, people seemed happy with what I got them today, too, and that's always a nice feeling for me. :)

Dinner was low-key, but nice, and my grandpa's big ham came out tasty as ever. Lots of random conversation. I shot some pool with my mom and dad, and lordy, I've gotten worse at it. I only played maybe once last year, and that was probably because I had a free coupon at The Break. I think I just need to play more often. Any takers? :)

So, yeah, now I'm sitting here watching the terebi and messing around on the computer, per my usual. Except that my feet are cold. ;p And there's no digital cable guide in here, so I'm reduced to ::gasp:: NORMAL CHANNEL SURFING. I have no idea what channels are what. My nose has been hyper-sensitive all day; smoke and other random smells have been making me sneeze. My ma thinks I'm getting sick, but I'd better not be, or I'll be pretty pissed.

UGH. Please go away, Jimmy Kimmel. And stop having cool guests on your show. I can't tolerate the idea of you getting to be in the same *room* with people like Hal Sparks, much less interviewing them and occasionally making snide remarks towards them.

It sounds like my dad and I are going to see a movie tomorrow--I'm not sure what, though. I'm thinking Big Fish or Cold Mountain. My dad mentioned Paycheck, which might be interesting, but I've had enough of Ben Affleck for the next century or so. Geh, I'm not even sure what's out right now--the opening day of RotK kind of overshadowed everything for the last week or so. ::laughs::

DUDE. Superman II is on Sci-Fi. Son of Jor-El, KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!! :O

Anyway, I'm out of things to blather about for the moment.

Question: Anyone have any plans for New Year's? I do have one option that might be fun, but I was kind of hoping to do something with people that I'm more familiar with on a personal level. Maybe *I* can plan a small gathering, even. Let me know what you think!

Anyway, I got a lot of sleep last night. I don't think I've slept that much in weeks. I have no idea what's going on today. My dad and grandpa went out for a bit. So, I'm just sitting here and hanging out. My nose seems a bit better today--less sensitive, but more congested. I'm still taking vitamin c and echinacea like crazy. Back, foul illness, back!

I'm in a weird mood, too. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the congestion in my head, but eh, whatever. At least the weather has finally cleared up! There's sun outside, and pretty sky. See, *that* is how California should be.

Last night, junsiew messaged me on AIM; she sounded pretty bored and hungry, so I tried to entertain her a little for a while. :) I didn't feel like initiating conversation with anybody, though. Maybe today or tomorrow. Or when I get home! I won't have 10000 errands to do every day after I get back, so I'll get to spend more time relaxing and catching up with people.

I should try to get a nice, long length of coaxial cable when I get back to my place--I like being able to watch TV and work on the computer at the same time. If I could find a good place to set up one of the smaller TVs, that'd be pretty awesome.

Anyway, I'm off for now. I could use something to drink.
