Booooored

Oct. 15th, 2003 12:40 am
I can't believe I haven't complained about this before now, but OMG the marching band practices out on the turf field have been driving me *nuts*! For the first week or so of them practicing, it gave me nice, nostalgic memories of high school band camp. But after that, the incessant bleeping of their metronome over the loudspeaker has slowly been eating away at my sanity.

They're not practicing as often now, thank god, but for a couple weeks, they were out on that field day after day, so for NINE HOURS a day, it was BING BING BING BING AAAAAHHHHHH!! ::stab:: At one point, I even *hallucinated* the metronome bleeping, because I thought I heard it, but then realized that was impossible, because it was 3:30 in the morning at the time. ARGH!

Moving on, then. Man, where are all the kiddies tonight? We've gotten maybe 1 call so far, and the night is half over. Yes, I spent the past 2.5 hours getting paid to play Final Fantasy Mystic Quest. ;p I'm kind of starting to get sick of the game, even. And I'm hungry.

I should study for my nihongo quiz tomorrow, but I'm too tired. But! I might get to go home early. Blessed sleep!

So, yeah.

In support of my fairly laissez-faire political views, I most post this:

I'm not gay, nor do I ever expect to be, but I do feel that all people who fall in love and want to share their lives should be able to do just that. Or at the very least, they should be able to do so *without* having their government institute a national campaign for the express purpose of reminding them how "wrong" their chosen lifestyle is.

Because, really, what one person, or even group of persons, could possibly be qualified to judge what is right for everyone else in the country? Outside of some basic wrongs that I consider universally immoral (i.e. killing, lying, stealing, adultery, etc.), I'll make my personal choices, and I have no intention of barring others from making theirs.

Dude, somebody actually recognized my Teen Girl Squad t-shirt today! And oddly enough, it turned out to be one of [livejournal.com profile] junsiew's friends. Hurhurhur!

So, yeah, this is kind of a lame post, because I have to finish as much of the ONHW site as is humanly possible tonight. It's not going nearly as quickly as I'd hoped, and it's kind of flipping me out. Graaah. Part of the trouble is these ridiculous templates--they were set up with the wrong links, so I have to go back and fix all the templates--and I'm not 100% sure of what files use what templates, so some pages will work fine, while others will have broken links, and it's a *real* pain in the butt.

The templates are a good idea, though, in themselves. They're just being difficult right now, because that's what happens when you're working with something that's been passed down from someone else.

Anyway, today was okay. I went to Hodgepodge with Janet after class, hung around at the APASU office for a bit, and then came home and started coding like crazy. OH, the excitement.

The good news is, my stress level will drop considerably around 1:00pm tomorrow afternoon. YES. :D
