"Strap on your guee-tar!"

Ahh, relaxation. I wound up fussing around with some power chords for a while, and then figuring out some chords I've been hearing on my current mp3 player rotation. LMAO! I *wish* I rocked as hard as Sugi, or Ino, or Kaz, or Hitoki, or like 10000 other people. ^^; Still, I'm doing better than I expected to on my own. The only real issue at the moment is that my fingers hurt. ^^;;;;;

I am realizing more and more as I experiment, however, that my guitar is really not up to the task. A) it's an acoustic, B) it has nylon strings, and C) it's OLD. I bought it secondhand like 3 years ago for next to nothing, and who knows how long it was kicking around before that?

I. Must. Get. An electric guitar. And an amp, too. It's probably futile to ask for those things for Christmas, though, so I guess I'd better start saving. ^^;;;

So I just had to sit in a room for over an hour videotaping this guy lecturing on regulating the stock markets and junk. OMFG, it was boring. x_x I didn't even need to be there, really, because once I had the camera centered, I didn't have to move it for the whole hour. Yeeshy. I'm glad I'm not an A/V tech *all* the time.

Once again, I am sleep deprived. Blaaaahhhh! It's Friday, though, so I can make it! I made up my quiz this morning, and I kicked its ass. The extra kanji practice made all the difference. :D

I think I might get a guitar on eBay. ::rotfl:: It's sooooo much cheaper, and given that I'm not an expert player, a used electric is probably fine for me. Hell, there are some brand new lefty electrics that are cheaper than anything I've found outside of eBay. Hoo hoo!

Gotta do some HW and a few errands after I get done this afternoon. Then I'll probably take a short nap, and go to JSO movie night, and then, I'm not sure what. I don't care, though, I'm just SO happy it's the weekend! *_*

I think I should snarf my lunch now, while there's still time.

I have decided: on Wednesday, when I get paid x 10000 and become hellarich, I WILL GET THIS. :O It's less than half of what I was expecting to pay, brand new, left-handed, gorgeous. It even sports two of my favourite colours! (red/black) It's beautiful! I'm excited. ;_;

I think I'll hold off on the amp, though. I might be able to get one for Christmas, since all I want is a wee practice amp. Those are cheap, ne?

Good news: CIT homework got postponed to next week, so I'm actually ahead of the game on homework again. Hoo hoo hoo! :D I got about half of it done today, and then Access started crashing a lot, so I gave up.

I'm doing laundry right now; it should be done pretty soon. I think I'm skipping out on the nap, though, in spite of the fact that I've been tired all day. I must be crazy. ::rotfl::

I suppose I should go get ready to step out again, since the movie night thingy starts in half an hour or so
