Doobeedoo...

I just got done eating, after a day of shopping and chatting with friends. We went and exchanged the bad Cowboy Bebop DVD that wouldn't play past episode 2, and then James bought a couple more for us to watch. Then we bopped on over to Office Depot and got the new desk that I've been wanting for several months. It's a swanky one, with a hutch and mini-shelves and a little side extension, and it was cheaper than any of the other ones that would have suited my purposes. Es muy bueno! After that we got a few groceries and came home.

Nikki popped in earlier while James was carrying the box for my desk upstairs. She hung around for a while chatting with us while we put groceries away and picked up around the house. Later on, David came by, followed by Dan and Aleisha. I think everyone's gone now though. ::lol:: It has been a nutty day.

I'm in the midst of putting together my new desk now! I dunno if I'm going to set it up in my room tonight though. I'm probably going to do some reading later too, seeing as I do have school stuff to take care of this weekend too. AGH! Want... school... end...

So I'm pretty much done putting together my desk and it rocks the casbah! It's too late to be dragging furniture around though, so I'll set it up in my room tomorrow. Hopefully I'll also be able to find a nice perch for Mr. Webcam that doesn't give an extreme close-up of my inhumanly large forehead 50% of the time. ::lmao::

I'm kind of tired now. I have only been awake for a little over 12 hours though... remind me to stay away from the Mountain Dew tonight, or I'll never be able to get up early enough to turn in my schoolwork. ROTFL!

Amer is entertaining me with his scathing wit. Hoo hoo hoo!

P.S. I now have "Etienne Trilogy" by Tori Amos playing, and during the chorus ("E-ti-eeennnne, E-ti-eeennnee") James asked if she was singing about an ATM. ::lmao::

Sunday

Today is, uh, okay so far. I gotta set up my new desk in here soon, which means taking all the crap off of it! ::lmao:: It's a trial.

Let's see... I'm kind of out of it today. I had a pretty good sleep last night, I guess.

James is off at the store now with Dan and Aleisha. I think I should take a bath now, because that sounds really nice, and my muscles are a little sore.

So I made it one of my goals this weekend to go see Moulin Rouge, but GUESS WHAT? Odds are, it's not gonna happen. Grrrrr. I want to watch Ewan McGregor sing! I hear he does an awesome job. (and he made a quite convincing glam rock star in Velvet Goldmine, hoo hoo!)

At any rate, maybe I'll go mid-week, after I get my Survey project done. That should be the last thing to deal with until my exams, so all I gotta do is study for them.

I want James to come back from the store so he can help move my new desk in here. Rrrr. Oh yeah, the webcam is on now.

Anybody want a T-Square?

So last summer I took Basic Design with this batty old lady who had a chip on her shoulder and made us paint all the friggin' time. And yet, she required us to buy a T-Square for the class, even though pretty much all we ever did was paint. And guess what? I NEVER USED IT. So I've been carrying it around for almost a year now, getting absolutely no benefit out of having it, and being rather hard-pressed to find a convenient place to store it. Jeebus.

In other news, my desk rocks. :D
