Boop!

I'm damned tired... we had a good presentation in class today though--by Ken O'Connell, a faculty member that David introduced me to a while back when I wanted some advice on how to do my multimedia portfolio. He showed a program he made for teaching English in class today, and it was *so* cute! It's something I wouldn't mind buying for my own kids, assuming it's still around when I finally *have* my own kids.

No sign of Bed Hair Guy. Apparently some people are not very concerned about the 3 absences and your grade drops a full letter rule. ^^;

20 minutes until I can register for fall... I'm amazed that I'm not in the first registration group, because I know I have plenty of credits. I'm betting it's probably just because my SSN occurs later in the number sequence than most of the other 4th-year students. Mutter mutter. :p

Everyone seems to think that, if I have the spare credits in fall, then I should take Japanese. And you know, they're probably right. This is probably the best time and place to learn it, since god only knows if I'd ever have the time or resources to do it post-graduation. And since I'd be paying the same amount for 17 credits as I would for 12, that's all the more reason for me to do it. I just have to figure out the best time to do it that wouldn't conflict with my insane class schedule. :p

ARGH!!!!

I officially HATE my class schedule! My two multimedia classes are both 3-hour blocks in Millrace, one in morning UH, and one in afternoon MW... which makes it virtually IMPOSSIBLE to fit *any* other classes into my schedule.

I can't take the last term of Art History, *or* anything I need for my CIT minor, because it overlaps with Continuity for Media. And there's only one viable time slot for Japanese, because it's a M-F class, so all the other sections overlap with Continuity or Digital Imaging. AND, if I'm able to get into Drawing for Media, then I'll have to drop Japanese entirely, because that class overlaps with the *one* section of Japanese that I can actually fit into my schedule.

AND to top it all off, even the *electives* I'd want to take won't fit. I can't take women's choir, or even U-Singers, assuming I'd be good enough to get into U-Singers. :p And I can currently take Jazz, but again, if I get into Drawing for Media, then I'll have to drop it. I swear, these bastards want to keep me here forever. Scr00 them all! :p

The plus side? Dropping Japanese would give me a 3-day weekend for the entire term. Still, that's a laaaaame trade-off, IMHO. All I want are some cool classes. :p

I had lunch earlier (Chicken Picatta is *good*) and then went to discussion. We watched a videotape of a PBS special about a girl that grew up in solitary confinement, tied to a potty chair, and the attempts by scientists to study her psychological and linguistic abilities, *and* treat her for all the emotional abuse she'd gone through. It was interesting, but also really, really sad. ;_;

I have a donut! Snack time is good time. :D I'm still tired, but getting better.

Amer says he's going to re-design the Design pages on Mokuzen for me... it's something I've wanted to do for a while and just haven't had the time or inspiration to do it myself. I'm amazed at how motivated he's sounding right now! I'm so proud. ;_;

GLAH!!

It is officially REALLY FREAKIN' HOT OUTSIDE! I didn't really notice until now, because the office has air conditioning, whereas the apartment doesn't.

I simply can not *wait* until James gets his air conditioning unit from home and hooks it up here. I'm meeeeellltiiiing!
