Yaaaayyy!

Mar. 29th, 2001 04:09 am
Today was a fun day. :D Sarah and Dan (Evil Dan, aka STEELY Dan, because we played basketball with him over last summer and he was *immovable*, hence the steeliness) were here for the whole day (or at least since I got up) and we all had a nice day hanging around and stuff. Ann came over for dinner, which Cory and Sarah and Dan made. I did nothing but enjoy the company of others, and that was cool. :D Exactly the kind of down-time I needed.

But now, oh dearie, I get to work for much much time tomorrow, Friday, and possibly a little on Saturday. I hope not, but I might, just to spread out the hours a bit. Bloop!

I'm done. G'niiiiight.

BLAGH

I wake up today, and my nose is crying out in protest *yet* again! And I think I'm on my last antihistamine pill. CRAP.

Phew

Nose is feeling better, after blowing it about 50 times... so I can save the last pill for a worse day than this. Right now I'm snarfing some leftovers as my lunch-ish meal of the day. Then I will go to work. Oh, the joys.
Hugh Jackman is *cute*. Don't ask me exactly why, and I must also admit that I won't be completely sold on the boy until I see him in a non-X-Men role, but I have a feeling he's got some real acting chops in there that are screaing to get out. And Mel Gibson's getting up there as of late, so Hollywood could use a new, nicely marketable Aussie. And Mr. Jackman also doesn't have that awful anti-DVD-type-stance that I'm told Mr. Gibson has. DVDs are our friends, so in that particular instance, Mel can just pack it.

Poop!

I typed in a rather long entry earlier, before the Jackman/Gibson/DVD rant but for some reason it's not showing up. ::grumblemuttermutter:: I think this Mac client is being squirrely again. :p

Homeward!

I'm off in a bit here. I should have been off 21 minutes ago, but I'm not. Such working power! :O
Jude Law is cute too. And I watched eXistenZ, and I liked it. It was freakin' weird, and I LIKED it. So shut up, you! ;p ("you" mainly being those wack jobs at the iMDb who think they're the be-all and end-all of movie reviewers)

And it's really sad that I'm going to have to endure 90+ minutes of Ashley Judd in order to confirm or deny that Hugh Jackman is talented, because I really think she's overrated as all-get-out. Not that I've really seen her act in anything since her appearance on ST:TNG, but there's just something about her that, well, doesn't exactly say "hi, I'm a real, honest-to-god, Good Actress". Or maybe it's just me. And she's related to that blasted Whyyyyy-nona. Yack.

Anyway, I'm out.
I meant to do this sooner, but I had problems with Ye Olde Trooper Page.

The left is normal Skeets as she dresses now. Except I'd have purple lenses, not green ones. (I had green-lensed sunglasses a couple years ago but they broke ;_;) The right is closer how Skeets would dress if she had sufficient funds to buy more new, non-preppie clothes. Clunky shoes are *always* a must.

James and I are doing dinner soon. :D
