I didn't do anything that I originally expected to be doing this evening! But that's okay, because it was pretty good anyway. :D The Scavenger Hunt went well today; we had a nice turnout, some interesting moments, and a surprise appearance by Kris! He was like "I haven't seen you in like 2 years!" and so he carted me off to dinner with him and a few other Beavertonites, after I called Nikki and found out that our prior movie plans temporarily went bust.

We ended up going to the dollar theater and seeing Meet the Parents, which was a *very* painful film to watch at times. Oh MAN. x_x Ben Stiller is a funny guy and all, and the movie had some pretty funny moments, but seeing his character embarrass the living crap out of himself over and over and OVER again just made me starting cringing about 1/3rd of the way into the movie. It only really started getting funny in the last 20 minutes or so, when he started cracking, and freaked out at that stewardess and everything. I guess I can't really get behind a film that centers around a relatively nice guy with good intentions getting shit on repeatedly. ^^;

Anyhoo, after that we all hung around chatting for a while, and then figured out that there was nothing in the god forsaken town to entertain us, so I came home and spent the rest of the eve chatting with several different people. Now all I have to do is come online during the day when the rest of the world is online. :D

A quote that makes me think of a couple different people that I know: "When a true genius comes into the world, you may know him by his sign: All dunces in the world are in confederacy against him." --Jonathan Swift

And with that, I'm FINALLY hitting the bed. G'night!
ARGH! I'm tired right now. x_x But I have to go to the lab in about 20 minutes, so no sleep for meeeee :p I'm making bets with myself as to how weirded out they're going to be when I show up instead of James. ::rotfl:: OH WELL!

Bored

I'm here at the lab, filling in for James. I know I sometimes bitch about my current job being boring, but now I'm reminded that this job was equally boring. ::rotfl:: This computer sucks more than my machine at Jcomm too. :p Anyhoo, only an hour left. James better get his silly ass back in town soon!

Bored

I'm so incredibly bored right now. I have ideas of things I can do, but I'm too tired to do any of them right now. :pppp Somebody get over here and pander to me! ::lmao::
Feeling less sleepy and bored now. Cory came home with Felicia and Nora in tow, and they're trying to think of something that we all can go do. :D

Thinkin'

We watched Terminator, which I haven't seen in a while, so that was cool. Felicia was talking about the whole Sarah/Reese dynamic, and how it was so romantic, which I actually have to agree with, now that I'm thinking about it at a time when it's not overshadowed by the tension of the rest of the film. He did volunteer to go back in time because he felt that he loved her, even knowing that he would probably die and would definitely not be able to return to his own time... and when he wondered what she was thinking about in the picture, she was actually thinking about *him*. That's some pretty powerful stuff. ^_^

I have no idea what we're going to do now... Chad was by earlier trying to get something going, but apparently he couldn't find anybody who needed something to do either. Beh! But we've got a nice little gathering here anyway, so that's coo'.

I'm kind of disappointed that I didn't hear from Kris today, especially seeing as I wound up farting around on the computer all afternoon and not really doing anything. But I'm not necessarily surprised, seeing as he's staying with my ex. ::shrug:: Still, he was quite the sweetie yesterday and I appreciated the fact that he actually wanted me along. :)

Tomorrow is a big empty day!! I think I'm going to sleep in a whole lot and get truly relaxed, do some art history reading, and maybe work on my Duo Maxwell costume. I didn't really want to do anything with it until after James put his computer back in the dorm so I could set up my sewing machine in its place, but tomorrow would be a great day for it.
