I'm back a day early. The weather forecast was filled with nasty from tomorrow onward, so I opted to cut the trip a bit short. Which, eh, isn't so bad. I have a completely free day tomorrow, and easing back into life in PDX sounds like just the ticket.

After 14+ hours in the car, I'm *very* glad to be winding down for a good night's sleep in my own bed.

P.S. Snow is only fun when you don't have to GO anywhere in it. 35 MPH on I-5? That should not happen EVER.

Ugh I bet it was really bad by then. DX We hit Weed around 3. The roads were still clear (mostly) but it was starting to really come down. I'm glad you made it safely!

Ugh, we drove from Redding to Portland today and it took like 8 hours...mostly because they made us chain up to go over the Siskiyou pass and then we had to wait in line at the chain checkpoint and then we had to go 30 mph even though THERE WAS NO ICE. GAAAAHHH. Anyway. I believe in safety first, but it was idiotic. The pass over Sexton Mountain was way worse, with actual fierce snow and ice, but no chains required there. WTF.

Anyway, glad you (and us) made it home safely! I know I will be sleeping very well tonight.
