This past weekend was so exhausting that I still don't think I have the energy to post about it yet, heh. But it definitely had a lot of good points! Maybe tomorrow. :)

I also think I might be getting sick, because I have a sore throat/sinuses, but I'm hoping it's just allergies. Still, laziness is coming far, far too easily right now. Eh, I probably need it.

Also: working from home in your pajamas is basically the greatest thing ever. Well, until I decide that something else is better. But, my new desk at The Job has my back completely exposed, so I've spent the past week feeling like office ninjas are staring a hole into the back of my head. I have no idea when my extra cube wall is supposed to show up, but they've theoretically ordered one for me, and it can't possibly arrive soon enough.

Working from home, in pajamas is great. I'm kind of doing that today as well!

Yes, it may very well be.

The last cube I was in had low receptionist walls, was open in the back, and right between the break room and a conference room. People were walking behind me all day, every day. I was so happy to get out from behind that desk.

Ugh, yeah, i can't stand people behind me when I'm working. Hell, my desk at the house would almost be bad, but you can only come from one door, and I can see it out of the corner of my eye, so no worries, plus there's no better place for it.

When I first started working at my office my desk was up against the wall and my back was to the door of the room. I seem to space out a bit at work and got extremely jumpy when people would walk in unannounced. I'm not really sure if I'd call my office a cube or an extended cube. The ceilings are about 20 ft high and the walls of the offices in this room (4 offices) are about 10 ft, so it's divided well enough.

Anyways, the point I was trying to make was I feel your pain. Hopefully it'll come in really soon. I had to move my desk so it was facing the door and my back was against the wall. So much better (and more privacy)

I always always ALWAYS pick the desk that faces the door. And doesn't have a desk behind me.

Usually, I do, too, but then I got moved from the Marketing dept. to IT, and all the good spots in that part of the new floorplan were taken. I had a great spot picked out in Marketing Land. :(

Ahhh yes, the newest member always gets the bad desk.

On the Sunnyside campus, we used to have a HUGE room for IT. All the desks were arranged on three sides of a square, the fourth side being the wall with the door. You can guess which way the desks were facing. :)
